The fact of the matter is, Reaganomics has been proved once during Reagan's administration and now during Bush's two terms that it does not work. You may increase productivity and raise the economy with short-term deficit spending, but in the long term the deficit that you created will turn around and bite you.

While this thread is a good idea, it is also bad. No matter how hard you try, you will eventually be offended by anothers views. On top of that, some people really don't care and will just 'flame' the area. I honestly think the thread would cause uneeded controversy, bickering and hate. While I know that people should respect others opinions. We all know, some are just ignorant. While it might be good while we still have a fairly low membership count. It'll eventually be locked as we grow, since it'll more than likely get out of hand. Also, I don't mean to offend anyone by this post. But its really something we just can't overlook.

1: I don't know that the current US administration can really be said to have a coherent economic policy - or domestic policy for that matter. If they do it isn't Reaganomics - though I don't really like Reaganomics either.
2: I see no reason to lock the thread now or in the future - I'm not a nanny. If people want to talk politics that's fine. If they get ugly they might perhaps be warned. I am fairly sure that hasn't happened at all on this sim though - we don't really feel like treating people like children.

I agree, most of the people here seem mature enough to know how far they can go.
Apparently China is burning more coal than the US and India put together. My question is, is China part of the G8 summit?
