"Lady Wen? Yes! Well, no, not really. She just offered me a job training horses." He lifted a hand to the back of his head and rubbed his neck while giving a small, awkward laugh. "I'm Zhu Ping, by the way." He gave a quick bow, seeming unpractised in the art of it, before he straightened and grinned at her jovially. "My friends call me Yě shēng zhì (Wild Stallion) - but I'm not really all that wild! Pretty nice, actually, huh, Kang?" He elbowed the man next to him, not even seeming to realise that he hadn't introduced him, without even glancing away from the woman. "I could teach you some horse riding tricks, sometime, if you want...So what brings you here? At this meeting, I mean? You sure are cute." He didn't seem to realise how inappropriate his blunt comment on her appearance actually was as he watched her with a happy little smile on his face which almost matched the one his comrade had walked in wearing.
Kang didn't seem bothered by his friend's behavior, though he silently counted the number of times he wished he could have elbowed him in the ribs. Though once he finished, Kang quickly spoke before Ping or the woman were given another chance to. "Hello, miss," he said, his serenity not taken away by Ping. He bowed his head politely. "I am known as Chí táng huà, to the children. Though you may call me Hu Kang, or Kang, if you wish. I am here as this young man's escort, that is, he escorts me." Despite his body appearing much more frail than Ping's, he said this as if it would be some sort of surprise to the woman. "Though if my services are needed, I shall share them with Wen Luan. A pleasure to meet you."

Wen Luan, eh... the female warrior whispered to herself as she approached the carriage. Never heard of her. I hope she's as convincing as you make her sound. She sat inside the carriage and waited until they reached this place, Yongzi. For someone such as her so unused to traveling while being fully conscious, the trip felt like it took forever. She reached for her bag once again, but this time she took out a small vial, no bigger than her own fingers. She opened it and drank the contents in a single gulp, returning the empty vial to the bag. She looked over to her host next to her to see she was reading something. Niangzi couldn't understand how she was able to do that, since she always felt nauseous every time she rode and read at the same time. Although she could've said something to ease the tension in the air, such as introduce herself properly, she figured the studious girl would want some concentration as she read whatever it was she was reading and kept quiet all trip long.

Upon their arrival to the place, Niangzi followed her host as they got out of the carriage and looked around in every direction. She grinned as she took a deep breath of the air in the area; it was filled with life and desire rather than the deathly aura that had been surrounding her up until now. A nice change of pace, for starters. Now she had to meet with this Wen Luan and see if it was worth the time it took her to travel all the way here. Lead on. She told Qiao Dazai as she nodded her head, her expression almost completely changed from the scenario at the beach.

It was indeed quite refreshing to get so much reading done in such a minute time; it was unexpectedly silent on the way back. Either way the rather easygoing day might have put her in a 'good' mood, not that anyone around here could really tell. Thereafter consent was given by her guest to move on, Qiao Sen walked the roads leading the way.. per usual she said nothing. Side talk wasn't really practiced by her, she was all about business and that was it. With her sleeved hands kept behind her back, she lingered on towards their destination. Her long robes slightly dragged, so long that seeeing her feet wasn't all too possible. Their short detour through the city did not take all to long at all, the busied streets had seem to die out at the almost occult sight of the two ladies. The administrative buildings came into view and Qiao Sen waltzed through the few guards, they wouldn't even look at her in the eyes lest put up any resistance. And again, most of the people in their way moved aside as Qiao Sen closed in on Pyu Pyu. She slightly nodded thereafter the girl would notice she and her guest. "Pyu, please make use of this woman, somehow ..she is more than willing." Qiao Sen explained to her in almost a whisper before raising her voice once more. "Behold woman .." Shame she still didn't even know her name, ah well. "..you are now in the presence of Wen Luan, where renaissance awaits you." She backed away allowing them the time to acquaint.

Because the town was unfamiliar to her, Niangzi followed closely behind Qiao Sen to where this Wen Luan resided; otherwise she would have strolled into every building until she found who she was looking for. A smirk could be seen across her face as they walked the streets, where the villagers all seemed to back away from her wherever they walked. Could it be possible that her reputation has reached even the far reaches of the north? After having walked for a fair amount of time, she noticed that the people were not looking at her as they backed away, but at her young hostess instead. It seemed that this girl had a strong reputation of her own, and Niangzi would have to work hard if she ever wanted to regain hers.

Once they arrived at the administrative building and came to face Wen Luan personally, Niangzi's smirk suddenly dropped almost as if disappointed somehow. This was Wen Luan? She was expecting someone older to work for, or at least someone proficient enough in the martial arts and battle. Even though it wasn't what she hoped to see, she gave a small bow of her head and pretended to at least care for what she had to say.
Greetings to you, lady Wen she said with a tone as high as Qiao Sen had spoken with just now. I am Tie Niangzi. Your girl Qiao Sen over there suggested that a visit to you might be worth my while. What offer do you have for one such as myself?

Ding Yi's cheeks turned pink, her bright eyes blinked in surprise at the end of Zhu Ping's very fast speech. She soon remembered her manners however, shaking herself into focus. "Ye Sheng Z.. I mean, Master Zhu Ping." she greeted with a curtsey, graceful albeit rather flustered, her eyes directed to the floor. Greet with salutation, check. Curtsey, done. Eye contact.. Ding lifted her head slightly, finding herself staring straight into Zhu Ping's un-averting eyes. In natural response, the embarrassed girl turned her gaze away from the young man's grinning face, instead towards the latter's companion, to whom she also promptly curtseyed to. She looked confused when Kang mentioned children and who escorts who. How she wished she was in the comfort of her abode this very moment. But no, she was here for the first time in a city, attending a meeting with so many strangers! She breathed an inward sigh, pushing the thought away to focus on the task at hand.. answer the questions, provide inteligent feedback. Or so she would try.

"I am answering Miss Wen Luan's call for a meeting. I received invite but I know not the details. As for horse-riding tricks, you are too too kind; I can barely manage normal horseriding." she said with a small chuckle, glancing toward Wen Luan's general direction.

"Tie Niangzi? Tie Niangzi..." She pondered the name, giving a smile. "I like it! Your name is awesome. Alas, now that everyone is here, I must start my announcement. We can talk later, if you are still interested, of course."

Wen Luan gives a small bow to the girl and turns to the end of the hall, she motions Qiao Sen to follow her, to stand closest at the front. Standing on a small platform so she can see everyone, Wen Luan begins her announcement. Instantly, her demeanor changes from what everyone had just witnessed, the weak front she put on had shattered with her words.

"Attention! I have invited most of you here for your various skills and variety, as you know, I am Wen Luan. This room that you stand in, all of you, is the start of a new China. Our China. I see no classes, no prejudice, you are all equals. I have called you here because I need you. I need your personalities, your hopes and your dreams. I need you to follow me, to believe in me, to create our ideal vision of China!"

As she takes a break to breathe, some guards chatter to each other, looking keen on this new regime.

Wen Luan looks directly at all the major officers around the room, not even a smile on her face, but a look of seriousness. "So, I ask. Will you follow me?"

"Ah," he replied quickly, perhaps pointedly not giving Ping a chance to speak. "We are in the same boat. Other than my companion here, I know little. Perhaps we will know more when this Wen Luan speaks, eh? Ping, remember what I told you at the tavern." He smiled gently at Ping, though with a meaningful look.

Then, the announcement came. He looked to Ping again, but said nothing. Yet. He seemed to be waiting for him.

Qiao Sen silently followed Pyu after her consent. She stood where appointed and eyed the crowd before them, her expression bordering impassiveness and somewhat malicious. She listened to the patriotic words of Pyu and although it'd seem she cared not for them, she was most likely her largest supporter. As she finished asking for all of their assistance, Sen was the first to show her support and make it known. With a swift movement of her right arm she whisked it from behind her back and held it just before her chest in a horizontal manner. "My undying support." She muttered, though loud enough in this now silent room.

The young man's grin faltered slightly when his new acquaintance chose the formal name he had offered rather than the more intimate one but he perked up again as she went on. When she mention that she could barely ride a horse as it stood he felt like the heavens had smiled directly upon him! He opened his mouth to offer to teach her to ride a stallion, the horribly unsubtle way he intended to phrase the innuendo already in the forefront of his mind, but then he was interrupted. Kang! You old goat. He practically sulked as he folded his arms on his chest but his childish huffing was prevented when the call for attention came.

His dark eyes were fixed on the woman who had gone from a delicate flower, in his eyes, to a pillar of strength. He reminded her of a horse; majestic, powerful and so inviting to chase after. To follow. It was all a bit intense but when he let that imagine in his mind over take him, and he was prone to being caught up in things, it seemed only logical to give in to the passion of the moment. His arms dropped by his side and he glanced to Kang and gave an uncertain murmur: "Uh..." Before looking at the leader of this town again and driving a fist into the air above his head powerfully. "Wen Luan! Yeah! Why the heck not?" He grinned, almost realising how strange his uncertain reply seemed, but he didn't really seem like he had enough sense to be embarrassed by much. "I'm in. Xiàn Zhì, at your service."

Great, so it was just a young administrator with a childish attitude, thought Niangzi to herself after having briefly met with Wen Luan. She was almost glad that Wen Luan had to leave to do something so suddenly. She was now pondering on how to make a run for it and continue with her previous plan. Taking another vial from her bag hanging from her belt, she drank its contents in a single gulp and gave a sigh in relief. She looked around, hoping that Qiao Sen would not notice her leaving, otherwise she might get stopped, or perhaps even killed in cold blood; a death undesired by Niangzi.

As soon as she reached the exit though, she heard a voice speak out loud from behind her. Turning her head around to see what was going on, she saw none other than the young administrator whom she was talking to just now. Only this time, her expression toward the public she spoke to was completely different from before. It was a dead serious face she had put on, way different from the childish and weak attitude she was using two minutes ago. It was evident that this Wen Luan had a case of split personalities, or so it seemed. Compared to herself and the world most feared doctor that had brought her here in the first place, Niangzi couldn't help but feel she had been in the right place at precisely the right time.

She started to chuckle lightly from way back near the exit as she had been standing during the whole speech. Her chuckle gradually turned into a laugh that, with the silence that covered the room, was loud enough for everyone to notice her. She likely seemed as though she was deranged to the rest, being unable to stop laughing and eventually dropping to her knees, unable to contain this emotion. After a while, she managed to get a grip on her laugh and slowly began to stop, rising from the ground where she had fallen and wiping away the tears from her left eye.
You would create a China free from the existent prejudice and the same liberties to everyone, despite the kind of people you have attracted to fulfill this dream of yours? She asked out loud, possibly directed at Wen Luan, but in the inebriated state she was in, it could be anyone's guess as to whom she was really addressing. It was evident that Niangzi was meant to join this woman before she died. Almost destined to do so. As she reflected upon all this, she motioned her hand in a similar manner as to how Qiao Sen had done so; jokingly in a sense that she did not know exactly how to do it, but in a serious enough manner to convince herself that she was truly committed to joining this motley crew. Then I hereby pledge my servitude to you as well... Wen Luan. With her right hand remaining on her chest, she extended her left arm sideways and gave a full upper body bow to the lady, later returning herself to normal and leaning her back against the wall.
