A messenger from the Qi capital arrived at the capital of Xiang Jun, bearing a communique. It was a rather simple message.
Lord Xiang,

You are hereby summoned, personally, to the city of Bashang by order of Supreme Commander Zhang Han. Attendance is imperative, tribute and reports are not necessary, timliness is of utmost importance.

Hua Tsu rode towards the gates of Shouchun atop a majestic steed of the purest white. With him is a missive written no less than by the King of Jiujiang, Xiang Jun. When he arrived, Tsu called the attention of the guards and showed them the letter.

"I've been called by the King to serve as his Chief Minister," Tsu said, waving his fan as he did so. "I am Hua Tsu and this is the proof of my claims."

Tsu turned over the letter with the seal of the Court of Jiujiang. He smiled immaculately shortly thereafter and scanned the towering walls of the city. "This is a not so perfect city that can use the perfect skills of a perfect man, if I may say so myself," Tsu said to himself, "At last, a place I will soon call home."

The guard captain inspected the letter and once the seal therein was confirmed, the lead sentry ordered six of his subordinates to accompany Hua Tsu into the headquarters of Shouchun. Xiang Jun could be found inside, studying a map that depicted the provinces of Jiujiang, Huainan and Changsha.

"Welcome to Shouchun, Lord Hua," Jun said, just as Hua Tsu was led inside the room, "I trust you are here to accept my kingdom's invitation to become her Chief Minister?"

Hua Tsu performed the customary bow and spoke confidently, "Yes, I accept the King's offer. My wanderings have come to a close and I shall happily discharge the duties of a Chief Minister henceforth. In addition, let me offer you my meager skills on the battlefield as a tactician."

"I am yours to command, King Xiang."

A small caravan proceeded from Shouchun and into a burgeoning estate in the southern outskirts of the city. The cabal was led by Qianzhen Na and Min Fang who immediately entered the compound of their intended destination as they arrived.

"We're here to escort Prefect Lu Bue to his new post in Shouchun. The King sent us. Please, let us not delay," so said Min Fang, as they spoke to the guards of the estate.

Lu Bue, heir to a wealthy merchant family in the South, was about to depart for the city capital when the escorts from Xiang Jun arrived. Finishing his morning tea, Bue proceeded to the Manor's worship room where portraits of his ancestors were on display as well as statutes depicting the deities. He prayed for luck and for guidance especially since he's about to leave the safe confines of his Estate in favor of the hectic atmosphere of the capital.

Lu Bue strode slowly towards the guard post where Min Fang and Qianzhen were ordered to wait. With a dignified stance, the noble simply gave the escort officers a condescending look before he boarded a decorated carriage. "Let us go now. The King is expecting this Prefect. I have a city to govern."

Carrying a large scythe, Wong Fei Hong traveled to Shouchun to accept an invitation from Xiang Jun. He enters the gates and shows the guards a letter from the King but makes no efforts to surrender his weapon. Fei Hong calls the attention of the guards and says, "I'm Wong Fei Hong, Scythe of Death. I was invited to Shouchun by Xiang Jun. If you value your lives, I urge you to bring me immediately to the King. You see, I am an impatient man."

The journey from Bue's Estate to the City Capital was uneventful. Arriving at the city gates, Min Fang gestured for the guard captain to allow them inside immediately. In a few moments, Lu Bue and his escorts were at the Xiang Estate. The King of the city, Jun, was at the library at the time.

Jun gave out a sincere smile and regarded Bue with a nod of the head, "It's always good to see old friends," he said, "Was your journey difficult, Prefect Lu?"

The guard captain stood his ground and shook his head, dismissing the threats issued thus far by Wong Fei Hong. "You may see the King provided you temporarily deposit your weapon in my care. It's standard security protocol. I hope you understand."

Assuming Wong complied without protest, six men accompany him to the Office of Xiang Jun. The King of Jiujiang was accompanied by Min Fang and Qianzhen Na.

"Welcome to Shouchun, Lord Wong. Are you here to accept my invitation?"

Attendants in the room brought in refreshments and Wong was led by three beautiful and curvaceous lady servants to a mat. Two of them returned to the side of Xiang Jun while the last caressed the broad shoulders of Wong Fei Hong before she took a spot adjacent to the guest.

Xu Huang is a murderer, a fugitive, a failure. The former Qin general still vividly remembers those days when he fought for the Emperor and his Empire but those days are sadly no more. The only remembrance he retains from those difficult but jovial days is the makeshift bow he now have slung over his shoulder. It is his only property but like the rest of his possessions that reminded him of the Qin, Huang knew that the time has come for the once great General to throw away the worn out weapon, the remnants of his futile allegiance and his false hopes for an invigorated Qin.

Huang read the last of the two letters he chose to open. It was from Xiang Jun, King of Jiujiang. There is a King in Jiujiang? Whether there was truth in the missive, Huang did not care. He was more intrigued by the offer contained therein. He thought it foolish and at the same time bold. But, matter of fact, Huang was flattered by the proposition. He could not think of a better way to right his wrongs, and to turn a new chapter in his once devastated life.

Traveling two provinces, Huang rode to Shouchun amidst the thick winter snow. When he reached the city gates, the Archer General called the attention of the guards and declared, "I've been summoned by the King. My name is Xu Huang, formerly of Chengdu."
