I must say, although it has a few uses, the fact that it doesn't relate location of all that information, makes it a slight waste of time in my honest opinion. One would have to look at the actual game map to see their actual location. This thing is good for telling the relative size of a ruler, but that's about it. If you want to keep it, then I would suggest divinding it into rulers, town magistrates, and village heads, so that it's easier to skim through.
The point of this isn't to know who borders who. It's meant to allow players to compare the size (or perhaps strength) of each ruler. At a quick glance you can see who is a powerhouse in China. And if I add the +/- you will be able to easily see who is expanding and who is losing ground.
I am against seperating it into City, Town, and Village rulers. A village head can easily become a town head and a town head could become a city ruler. Besides, moving them would take towns and villages out of table as a whole. If enough people complain about it I might change it, but I won't for now.
