Someone has probably already asked this... or perhaps there is a post I failed to read, which is laziness on my part I know, so sorry.
When will the sign ups begin, this game looks good and I'm already anxious to play

We are thinking sometime in June. A lot of our staff has vacations and the like planned, so we are going to start inbetween all of them, but it will be a couple weeks at least. We did want to show off what we had so far, though, so that people become familiar with the rules by the time the sim starts, and so you can find whatever holes we have.
Like, right now, thanks to SZM, I know that we don't have any definition of what the stats do. And that's something I'm going to work on here in a bit

Most of them are posted in the rules thread up there. The stuff that isn't posted there is either not done or is and just needs a little tweaking.
Battle rules are probably 80-85% done. We need to run tests to make sure we haven't overlooked something or over/under-estimated some value or what not, and I think we haven't finalized morale rules. Personal Turn rules are still in need of a good amount of work, but that's something I plan to tackle today, tomorrow, or Tuesday (whenever I'm not working on my statistics assignment). Most everything else just needs polishing.

About the battle rules:
Personally I think tactics in our rules are way easier to write. Also - when the game starts a battle will be posted - along with force postings and tactics - so that everyone will start off with a sample to look at.

Not to interupt anything, but I really like what you guys have here. I believe that this can be the next RTK.
Way to go.

I prefer to think of it as a Prequel. You know, Episode I to SimRTK's Episode IV.

Ah, an even better way to think of it. Is there anything that I can do to help?

Episode II and Episode III, then?
Lame joke, I know, but one can say that I either am trying, or have been fired from my day job.

Uh, at the moment, we are just hoping to get people to look over the rules and point out where we lack good explanation of things, or spelling errors, or whatever issue they have. In explaining to you what how things work, we also see what holes we have left unfilled, allowing us to make the rules more complete.
You can think of some cool ideas for what you want to do in the sim as well
