Fei Lak's Audience Hall - Shanggu

Ling Li snickered a little also when seeing the general hit himself, "I am Ling Li, how do you do?" She said still laughing a little, attempting to hide it, aswell as trying to stop herself from blushing.

[Li Dao Wen]

Rui bowed again, making sure to extend his left arm away from him so that he may be able to avoid an even worse accident with his razor sharp halberd..

"I am pleased to meet you Lady Ling Li." he replied, his face still flushed. Without straightening himself up first, he picked up the sack which he dropped,making sure to gather all the wooden objects inside.

"So tell me milady," he began as he picked up his items, "what can I do for you today?"

He looked up at her and smiled again, his white teeth flashing in the sun.

[Ztamp]

"The Marquis requested that i come here, to seek audience or something along those lines." She said, after finishing she bowed back smiling greatly.

[Li Dao Wen]

"Ahh!" he declared, shooting up with sincere gaiety, "most excellent! Then I shall go and inform the Marquis of your arrival! He will be most pleased."

He walked towards the guards, who by then had straightened themselves out. They had a lady inspector with them already as well. He was about to rush inside when..

"Oh yes I almost forgot," he said, whirling around in great speed. "You have to be searched milady. I apologize, but it is standard protocol here. We place the Marquis' safety above all else here.. Will you consent to a search Lady Ling?"

[Ztamp]

Li jumped back a little, afraid he might hit her with the sack, or worst, the halberd he held. When tugged at her pockets ensuring nothing was their and then nodded, "Sure!"

[Li Dao Wen]

"Good!" he said with gusto, tapping the guards to proceed with the search. "I will go on and inform the Marquis of your arrival!"

The guards mumbled incoherently as Rui went away. They probably were thinking how such a dim-witted person was given such a prestigious rank as the one he bore. The lady inspector merely shook her head and came to Ling Li. Bowing and smiling sweetly, she addressed her, "This way dearie, We have a special room where women are searched. We can't have these imbeciles gawking at you out here in the open can we?" she then cast a look at the guards, who looked at each other stupidly.

Provided that nothing of danger was found in Ling Li's possessions, she was led to a great audience chamber where Rui was waiting. He grinned at Ling Li.

"Please sit here while we wait for the Marquis to come. He has been busy--"

He suddenly realized that he had left the sack he was holding outside.

[Ztamp]

"Sure," she said as she sat down and waited for the Marquis.

[Phailak]

Lak arrived in the audience hall, usually the Marquis spent most of his time there and in his offices with Khan and often times Rui as well. Today though Marquis Fei had spent some much needed alone time in his personal gardens. He arrived with a warm smile and apologies.

"Lady Ling, please forgive me for keeping you waiting. I am very honored you chose to visit with us so that we may discussed if destiny has linked our ambitions."

Taking his seat, he beckoned the lady make herself comfortable.

"Would you care for some refreshments? Tea, food?"

[Ztamp]

Ling shook her head, "No, i just ate. The people here are quite kind."
She then unscrolled the two letters that were sent to her, one with the mark of the Marquis and the signature of Liu Fang, the other from the Marquis himself. "It mentions in the letter you wanted me to come here?"

[Phailak]

Lak nodded.

"Of course. Your talent is quite exceptional as well as very diversified. If your ideals match our own, I would do all I can to convince you to join us in hopes you can help us in our ambitions. I need capable people that can expand our holdings and manage what we currently have and you can do both!"

The marquis seemed excited at the prospect of the Lady joining them and his smile only emphasized that.
