Yu listened intently for the young woman's response, hoping that it would be a positive one. It did not come however, as she rejected her offer, claiming that it would be boring, and talks of friendship of romance. Ah... The failing of youths... The young woman was talented, that much was for sure, however her mind has not yet matured to see pass the frivolous things in life. It reminded Yu of himself once, in a time when before he had lost his arm and barely escaped with his life, "There is no romance in battle, only deaths." Yu said, as much to himself as for the girl, his mouth tightening at the mention of Qi.
A sad smile appeared on his face and he responded, "Adventures huh?" Yu wanted to shake the girl and tell here that in reality life is not an adventure like they are in the stories of old, it is a struggle against one obstacle after another, to reach a dream that you will not attain if you do something less than your all. However, Yu kept his silence. It would not do to burst this young woman's illusion of a grandeur life. Furthermore, Yu did not believe that mere words will be able to sway the girl to think more realistically. It was something that she had to learn the hard way, like Yu himself did.
"If our only meeting would be in the battlefield on opposites sides, I would rather we don't meet at all." Yu responded to her farewell, "Take care of yourself, and if one day you should decide that you've had your fill of adventures, remember that the doors of Shi Tong are always open for you." With that, Yu bowed his head slightly in respect and set out back to Jiaodong.
