I hope Suikotactics is good. IV was a disappointment. They made such a big deal about bringing back the original character designer, and the characters were lame in the original, and they were lame in IV too.
Anyways, I saw Perfect Dark Zero is coming out. I loved Perfect Dark for the Nintendo, it was far and away the best shooter out at the time. But this one is for Xbox360, and four hundred dollars for a game system and controller is damn expensive.

If Xi is right, and they are basing it off of IV, then they need to have someone beat them over the head. III was amazing, and I heard that II was the best of the series, and one of the better RPG's of all time. So they base it off of IV, which I was greatly annoyed by, even though I did manage to finally beat it.
Galagros, check the previous page, last post, Xi mentioned something about it and linked a few screenshots.

Oh ... that looks dumb. It seems like they are concentrating on trying to make an original looking game too much and not enough on making a -good- game. Now, I could easily be wrong, but that is my initial impression.

Guys, theres a most likly a hacker on the loose. So far hes struck at simrtk and is moving to all the other sims that had their websites posted in the website section on simrtk. Be aware and increase the protection levels. I have a feeling that the Simrtk staff will be sueing the hacker soon when/if they are caught. If the hacker is too young than his/her parents will foor the bill.
Still, while the hacker is on the loose be on high alert.
If this isnt a prank by the Staff than all sims can be endanger if they posted their site on simrtk.
Also, DONT look at the He Jin Adience Hall Thread! What is posted is not for kids to see, and you adults know exactly what I'm talking about. If you dont than you can guess since I advise not looking at the pictures.

Well, I don't think it's a great idea to tell people where the offending post(s) is/are. People are curious by nature, and may go to seek it out. Luckily, things have been stitched up, so no one should find any offending posts by that user.Duke Williams wrote:Guys, theres a most likly a hacker on the loose. *looks confused at the above*
(Spoilers about Suikoden Tactics...)
Anyways, I rented Suikoden Tactics a week or so ago. It had some interesting parts, but was really way too much like IV, and if you didn't like IV, then you wouldn't like this. Almost every character you got was a character that was in IV, and they seemed to lack any life. I got about as far as when you can gain your main character from IV into your party, and then I quit. They did take some good ideas from other games (really, I mean they took them), like the FFT proposition thing, although it was rather weak and didn't benefit the participating character at all.

I have been playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Shining Force Neo recently. FE is fun, as usual, but I must say I prefer this game to FE: Sacred Stones. I'm not sure if it is just a huge preference for the Gamecube over the GBA, though, although I must admit I've got more into the story in PoR and like some of the main characters a lot more. I might actually even beat it, which is a rarity with me and any video game anymore.
Shining Force Neo is just odd. I was expecting a tactics game, since the two SF's for Genesis were. The only thing I can really think of that ties the older games and this one together at all is the main character's name being Max. I still like it. I would fancy it a combination of X-Men Legends and Gauntlet to some extent, just that you are stuck with one character the entire time (which is fine, really). Also felt some Star Ocean in there, although the battles are real time right on the map. The storyline is ok so far (a good amount of cutscenes; some of which are long, especially when they are right before a boss you die at repeatedly), the voice acting is suspect (as usual), and the gameplay is decent. I die a lot, but I tend to be obstinate and do things the way I want to do them, which isn't always the way they should be done.
So that's where I've been instead of here. Been sick a lot, too, which has kept me to the bed. Being allergic to cats sucks.
I have been thinking about tactics types of games recently; probably because I've been playing them. For me, Final Fantasy Tactics is far and away my favorite tactics game. I think Shining Force 2 is a very solid second there. After that, though, there are a lot of games that I could consider, but nothing that really takes the cake. Never got into the Atlas tactics games that much, and I like the FE's, but I always tend to quit at the halfway points. Suikoden Tactics is icky. I played FFTA for about 25 hours once, and since then, I haven't been able to stand it. Shining Force 1 is ok, but I played 2 first, and only played 1 maybe 2 years ago.
I guess my point in this is to wonder about what other types of tactics games are out there. I have Stella Deus (which I think is an Atlas tactics game), but ended up being frustrated because I was always underleveled for story battles, and hated fighting in the labrynth thing.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition has gobbled up 75-85% of my life over the past 9 days. I played it for like 35 hours non-stop a while back... I had watched my friend play this game at his house once or twice and thought "Wow, if I ever get an Xbox I should get this, but maybe not ... it seems too hard." Well when I got an Xbox I never got this game. Oh how I wish I would have!!! I've only had an xbox for a little over a year now, but I could have been playing for a whole year longer.
PS: I used to want to get an Xbox 360 and buy The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion when it came out. Not I have to buy one and get it. Seeing as I have played III so much, I would probably end up spending my money on the game and the console over food or some other essential.

I never did play Morrowind. I think I looked at a game box once but that was it. I don't own an XBox, which is probably a big reason why, but still, I have a brother with one and a roommate with one, so we'll see. I think for this second semester of college I'm going to try and play more Halo. Also, my roommate asked for a DDR thing for Christmas, so maybe I'll do that some. With the door closed and by myself, of course.
