Yay! Nice to see you on the site, PT. I was going to send you a PM, but when I hit send, it messed up. So this is both a "wecome Purple Tiger" and a "Ann, I think the PM system is messed up" post

I just got one and returned one without trouble.
Edit: ok the pms are working it's the mail notification that isn't working. Something wrong with the smtp relay ... maybe because the smtp is sspub and not simwarlords.net. I'll try to fix it later after dancing class.

Hello, everyone! Good to be here with you all, and thanks to Kym for the invite.
SimWarlords is a very exciting project for me for be a part of. As a child, I was an enormous fan of the classic Atari 800 game
Warlords, as I'm sure were all of you. The colorful blend of four-player Pong and Breakout action brought me many an enjoyable hour of paddle-based entertainment. Being able to take part in a Sim adaptation of this beloved console favorite -- well, it's like a dream come true for me.
I don't know how we're planning to modify the gameplay to accommodate hundreds of players, none of whom even
have paddles, but I'm excited to find out! Well, I'm off to read some of the development threads. I'm sure I have a lot to learn! See you later!

Yeah Ann, it seems like my PM went through, I just got an error message afterward.
And Purple Tiger...hehe. I never played that game, but I did play a game called Wizards and Warlocks (at least I think that's the title). *Sigh*, the earlier years of gaming.

ok I changed the configuration again and it seems to work. I am not getting switched back to sspub myself and I'll leave it like this to see if that stays the same - otherwise I'll have to switch the master domain.

Yeah, let's hope this works, and no more weird errors pop up like that

Well, I just endured a bit of a scare. The school miscommunicated to me what I had to do for summer classes, and I ended up not having any apartment reserved for me. Without that, it pretty much meant I had no place to stay and would have to move back home. I'd have to cancel my summer classes, quit my summer job, and would have to live in the world of very slow and often unavailable internet.
But thankfully, I was able to slide into an apartment after someone else dropped it, like just 20 minutes ago, thank God. It's a very bad feeling to think that your entire life as you are expecting it to go would get messed up just like that.

I'm moving from my dorm room to my apartment today, and I've been told about the hassle that it is to get internet set-up in them (they have only 1 access place for internet, and it's by the front door...), so I might not be around except during work for a few days, and I've been spending my work hours mostly doing my homework
That said, at work I am still getting redirected to the sspub name after I sign-in or sign-out. I switched my logins here to see if it was a cookie thing but it is the same, so I dunno. It still seems to be a problem, at least I think. When Chen Ping signed up did he have that problem?

I had to switch the settings back to fix the latest mail problem. I think the only real fix will be to transfer the whole domain which is kind of a huge deal.
