Liu Bang let out a sigh of relief as Zu Yanghei's forces arrived. The fighting thus far had been fierce and while his army was still strong their courage had begun to falter under his foe's mighty assault. As they redrew the lines, and prepared to meet their foe once more however the sound of beating drums signaled their retreat! Not wishing to let such an opportunity slip through his fingers he urged Guan Ying into pursuit. In the ensuing chaos their efforts were rewarded with three of the enemies generals. Including the famed King of Nanyang himself!

After the fighting had settled, Liu Bang sent Guan Ying to see to the disposition of the army, the intergration of the soldiers, and to see to the provisions of Zu Yanghei's men. The King however freshened himself, and setup a large tent to act as his command quarters before they returned to the city. It was here with the Duke of Yong, Han Xin on his left and Supreme Commander, Fan Kuai on his right that Liu Bang met with the captured. The three bound men Luo Jian, Cang Hu, and King Baocen Peng were escorted in by several soldiers who bore them no welcome stares. The Han King looked upon them with a tight mouthed expression. The silence in the room built for several moments before he spoke. "Well well, so it finally comes to this doesn't it King of Nanyang? When I left Linjiang to you and Shen Feng I suspected trouble would come to me, and here you are."

He paused then, saying nothing more as he stared out at the three prisoners.

Baocen Peng looked up at his captors as he was brought into the tent, seeming more weary than anything. "Yes, you have me in your power now. But you know why I set out with the King of Linjiang and the King of Yong. My life's duty has been to defend the stability of Chu's dominion and bring rebels low as the King commands. I brought order to Nanyang, and worked with the other vassal lords to do the same elsewhere. As the King of Chu commanded me to attack you, I sent my forces here.

"The battle was going inconclusively, so I decided to withdraw while I had the advantage. I did not think I would be captured, but Heaven has its own designs. What would you have of me, King of Han?"

As the forces of Han routed the opposing forces of the Kings of the South, and news of Guan Ying's heroic capture of the King of Nanyang spread, the senior officers of Sai approached the tent that now served as Liu Bang's temporary audience chamber. Stopping just outside and bowing to the guardsmen, Miaogu Pan, Ping Xin and Cong Ma stood up straight. Miaogu Pan was the first to speak up, "Men of Han, I am Chief Aide Miaogu Pan, these is Chief Aide Ping Xing and Lieutenant General Cong Ma. On behalf of the Duke of Sai, we would request an audience with the King of Han, to congratulate him on his victory and to sit in audience of the judgement of the captives..."

The guards at the tent entrance nodded and allowed the trio to enter revealing the three bound men, a few guardsmen who stood near them, and Liu Bang flanked by Han Xin and Fan Kuai. As they entered the King of Han looked to the entrance and gave them a warm smile. His first true sign of emotion since Baocen had entered the tent. "Welcome friends, your arrival was most well timed, and we owe this day to your timely arrival" he said before his gaze returned to Baocen Peng. "What would I have of you? That is a most interesting question."

The Han King went silent for a moment as his gaze darted accross the faces in the room as he considered the moment and it's implications. Returning his gaze to the King of Nanyang he spoke evenly. "I suppose that depends on you Baocen Peng. Do you wish to be a King or a pawn?"

Cong Ma flanked Miaogu Pan while the latter spoke, his arms casually folded in front of his chest as the trio waited to be led in the tent. His muscles tingled with adrenaline, partly in anticipation that he was about to meet with King Liu Bang, but also for a battle he was looking forward to. Despite it turning out to be a farce, with the allied force sounding a retreat once Duke Zu's army appeared, it had nonetheless yielded an unprecendented result, namely the capture of one of the alliance's Kings. What an unlucky fellow, Cong smirked, assuming King Baocen Ping's fate will be discussed in the coming meeting.

Inside the tent, upon paying obeisance to Liu Bang, Cong stood close to his comrades and observed the questioning.
