Lu Ying's Audience Hall - Yanyu

Liangyu nodded, but was quite unsure and didn't have as much faith in the whole scheme. It would require the two to agree, and from the pronouncement by Wu Chen, she wondered if he really was the sort of man her father would get along with...

"My Father and the King of Zhao as friends. And where would you be in this whole affair? For that matter...Do you think both of them would be happy with the other? What if one decides they can't stand the other. You know us nobles, always prickly about the oddest things."

Shrugging, she admitted,

"I guess it was just a matter of fate I met you on that trail in a good mood. Had I been infested with a foul one, I might have thought you, noble Ying, were but an annoying bandit. But to look at you now. Oh, perish that thought. We're friends, we are. Hopefully, my father and Lord Wu can be as well...But what if they can't be, through some conflict of character or capricious event. What then, dear Ying?"

The Princess frowned, truly worried such well meaning hopes might be unravelled by the mishief of fate...

"Lady Xia! "Lu ying exclaimed "You must think positive, we cannot allow these things to get in the way of our friendship, but if it will make you feel better, I will use my influance over Wu Chen to get him to get along with your father"

Ying Yang arrived at the gates of Yanyu to seek service in Lu yings army. "Greetings" He said" I am, here to join your army"

"I have heard much of your talantsfrom my officers and confidents. I would be honoured to have you by my sides. Come, join me and grow rich on the plunder of mighty armies"

Fang Ai had spent many years wandering about the middle kingdom. For a long time, he had been uncertain of what to do wth his life. Hearing of the woman leader Lu Ying, he decided that was where he should lay his allegiance. Walking up to the gate guards of Yanyu, he bowed and offered his service to the woman general.

The guard captain on duty stepped forward and bowed to the guests before him before her spoke up.

"Very well, if you would follow me"

With those words the guards turned about and assuming the visitor followed the guards lead him through the winding corridors of the palace to the main hall. Throwing the doors open they entered the room and the guards dropped to their knee's and the guard captain announced the visitor to the new governor of Yanyu.
Lu Ying looked down at the men from her dias and smiled.

"So, you wish to join me?"

"That doesn't really bother me though. I'm not so sure my father would get along with Wu Chen. Maybe he will, maybe he won't, but when it comes to political matters, he's the one who decides and seeing as I'm not all too good with those things, I can't have any influence on him with that..."

Bowing her head, she pouted and asked...

"I just fear that...worse comes to worse, they may butt heads, and it may be you who has to pick a side, Lady Lu... That, I wouldn't want at all, my friend."

Shaking her head, she tried to clear her melancholy. Thinking about politics always made her head hurt and made her frown. She didn't know why, but she didn't like it. Ah well, maybe it wasn't really a possibility. Father got along with just about everyone. He'd probably be fine...

An intense and remarkably gruesome man marches into Yanyu. The city that might have been his, that might have been a stepping stone on to great conquest, instead sat in the hands of some woman, and the town he had seized had fallen to the forces of another rising star. If Ye Zhi could not have his kingdom, at least he could have his revenge. He approached the audience hall carefully, aware that his unsightly birthmarks would predispose the guards to turn him away. He bowed.

Ye Zhi: My name is Ye Zhi, previously the magistrate of Dangfa, here to speak with the Lady Lu Ying. You may search me, but it would be a waste of our time.
