Aramaki bowed deeply as Ying Fusu gave his response. He said respectfully, "I thank you for your generosity. My armies should be arriving in Sai soon, and I should go and visit my Generals Dai Mu and Bo Shuai. Please allow me to leave and attend to my army. I promise to return and report back to you soon, after as I have confirmed that your soldiers are integrated into our supply line defenses and that my men are well provided for." He thought to himself, I will wait until the campaign is completed before I present to King Fusu the rest of my plans, since they would be moot if the battles in Sai do not go well. I hope General Bo Shuai does not get into another situation like the battle of Feiqui, where he managed to get himself outnumbered by over 2 to 1 odds. Oh well, I guess that was just a isolated incident. Lightning does not usually hit the same person twice.Kymvir Raemiz wrote: Ying Fusu read the note, and then nodded his head. "Yes indeed, District Manager. You have served us faithfully so far. I think that this request is easily complied with."

Ying Angdun looks at the guard captain with a slight exasperation on his face.
"I am the eldest son of Qin Zhaoxiang Wang's third son. That I believe makes me a cousin to the second degree of his highness the King, Ying Fusu. As such I am a member of the royal clan, so should be conducted in to the audience hall to see someone slightly higher ranked then you."
The look of open disdain on Ying Angdun's face was open now, though he was running a risk talking that way to an obviously irate man, the reaction to his words had annoyed him.

The look of disdain was returned by a look of incredulity. Who was this man without proper identification and real tangible proof to claim such a relation! "Where is your proof?" demanded the guard captain. As a soldier of Qin, he had learned long ago that he had no need to bow down even if this man was indeed an Imperial Clansman. He had his duties and under the Legalistic codes as set by Shang Yang, he had the authority to enforce his demands.AaronH229 wrote:Ying Angdun looks at the guard captain with a slight exasperation on his face.

A cloud of dust rose from the eastern horizon and steadily approached the city of Xianyang. Within a short time, it could be deciphered that a small column of horsemen, bearing the standards of Taishi Guang, were approaching the city in an orderly fashion. This was obviously not any sort of combative effort.
As the cavalry force came near the city walls, the column halted, but four riders broke off and continued towards the main gate. Once at the gate, the lead rider raised his right hand, signifying that he came with peaceful intentions.
"Good day, men of the true Qin Emperor!", the man proclaimed boastfully. "My name is Taishi Guang of Changsha and I request an audience his Highness, Ying Fusu. I only bring with me my trusted officer Liao Mingyuan and two bodyguards. Might we be granted entrance?"

"There is no Emperor here!" stated the guard captain on duty formally, as he eyed the visitors. "Because of His Highness' humility, His Highness has only taken the title of King and not that of Emperor." When the men spoke Ying Fusu, the guard captain's eyes narrowed. "What rank and position do you hold to dare utter the name of His Highness, the King, on such familiar terms!?!"Nanjun Tiger wrote:A cloud of dust rose from the eastern horizon and steadily approached the city of Xianyang. "A thousand pardons, but since I am not on any sort of familiar terms with His Highness, I merely call him by the name that the unfamiliar refer to him by." Bowing his head, Guang then crossed his arms over his chest. "I am Taishi Guang of Changsha and I hold no recognized rank. I come to speak to The King of Qin about many matters, including petitioning to authorize a rank... Regardless, I seek entry to parlay with His Highness. Please grant us entrance."Cao Chao wrote:"There is no Emperor here!" stated the guard captain on duty formally, as he eyed the visitors. "I see," replied Quan Shao, the guard captain with an odd expression on his features. With a gesture, a runner disappeared into the administrative complex. Nodding his head at the group of visitors, the guard captain responded. "I've sent a runner to inform of your arrival. Unfortunately, His Highness, the King is Xianyang, the Supreme Commander, Meng Tian, is in Feiqiu, and the Prime Minister, Meng Yi, is ill. I believe that I can arrange a meeting with another high ranking official, if it is alright with you."Nanjun Tiger wrote:"A thousand pardons, but since I am not on any sort of familiar terms with His Highness, I merely call him by the name that the unfamiliar refer to him by." Guang first turned his head and looked to Liao Mingyuan, trying to read his thoughts on the matter, then turned his attention back to the guard captain. "That will suffice. We will meet with whoever is authorized to speak for the King."Cao Chao wrote:"I see," replied Quan Shao, the guard captain with an odd expression on his features. Liao Mingyuan gave Taishi Guang a nod of agreement at the guard captain's words. He had heard rumors that the Prime Minister had been severely poisoned and news that the Supreme Commander and the King had retaken Xianyang, but he did not expect the newly established power in Changsha to find himself without the ability to meet the leaders of the Qin court.Nanjun Tiger wrote:Guang first turned his head and looked to Liao Mingyuan, trying to read his thoughts on the matter, then turned his attention back to the guard captain. After a few moments, the runner returned with news that the Master of Purification, Chunyu Yue was available. Performing a quick, but subtle search of the visitors, the four men were escorted into the administrative complex. After a series of corridors and passageways, they were brought to a small receiving chambers where Chunyu Yue was holding 'court.'
Glancing up at the announcement of visitors from Changsha, Chunyu Yue quickly finished the piece of paperwork he had remaining. "Welcome to Nanzheng," he stated quietly. "I am the Master of Purification, Chunyu Yue. What is your business today with the Qin court?"

Bowing deeply, Guang then spoke as his eyes remained lowered to the floor. "Master Chunyu Yue, I come here today as a humble servant of the true heir to the First Emperor and Qin Dynasty." Straightening his posture, he then allowed his eyes to meet the form of the Master of Purification.
"I have nearly finalized the conquest of Changsha in the name of the King of Qin, however, I have found that the eastern and northern borders of the province are now occupied by aggressive, anti-Qin criminals. They have shown their disdain for my forces because of my loyalty to the Qin and I fear that war in Changsha is on the horizon. Therefore, I would humbly request for the authorization to be granted the title of Marquis of Changsha, to better combat these insurrectionists." Bowing his head once again, he awaited a response from Chunyu Yue...
