A spoke with a guard Would you let the Good King Chen Sheng, know the Prefect of Dongcheng is here to request an audience.

One day there approached a simple man upon a finely bred horse, and on his bags was the emblem of the Twilight Bazaar. Coming to the guards he dismounted and bowed.

"I am Mian Jujiang, a business associate and disciple of the great sage Ji Song. I've come to see if he requires my services in the breeding of horses and construction, as well as governance..."

Xian

The guards nodded and said, "We have heard of your arrival in the province. Someone will take you to Pan Dao if you wish."

((thought someone else was getting this - though it's a time warp of course will do it anyway!))

Pang Li was led inside where a small clerk bowed and said, "I am Pan Dao, I will take you to see Chen She. But, if possible, could you tell me why you seek him?"

Mian Jujiang was led into the administrative building where he was met by a smallish man who appeared, from his dress, manner and the ink stains on his hands, to be a clerk. When he saw the visitor he bowed and said, "I am Pan Dao, clerk to Chen Sheng, the King of Chu. We have been told that you would arrive here by Ji Song." It was clear, from the way Pan Dao said his name that Ji Song was much admired by him and, perhaps, others in Chu.

Bowing again he said, "How may I be of service to you?"
