He look at Xun Jiang nooding to him that it was time to behead the traitor... Gangda Qu openly cursed Fei Lai, Ma Dieu, and perhaps most of all, his fate. It was clear that he would not be accepting the offer. Chongte Jun, on the other hand, begged to be healed from his wound, going so far as to offer his services if he was taken care of.

Taking the cue from his employer and superior, the aptly Black Ogre smiled grimly. For his part, the barbarian Gangda Qu wasn't able to keep his tirade for long, as he was promptly silenced by a sudden thrust of the halberd which pierced his cursing mouth. A jerk and a disassembling yank later, his head was nothing more than twin halves lying in a bloody mess on the grass.

Then his hovering eyes turned on the former administrator of Huainan, whom he had met earlier that month. He remembered clearly how Lu had taken the time to ask how he felt about serving Ma Dieu, and the corresponding response he gave. Perhaps this time the answer he had given will be justified, or completely disproved altogether. Whatever the case, he knew that the man will be hating all of them from now to the end of time.

Sparing the brave but doomed Lu Shu but a few moments to speak his last words, Xun Jiang ended his life with a diagonal stab to the neck, completely severing it.
