Following the guard, Yongqing did believe he was some what abrupt however, it could show organisation; something that the young Liu liked. Smiling at the guard as he escorted her through the masses to the personal quarters of Tian Heng, the young Liu gazed at the walls; very much different than those at home in Yan. Entering the chambers Yongqing was quite surprised that a King's relation would not live so lavishly, though it must have been a good sign for the people; though Tian Heng was quite the handsome man, one she had never seen before back home. Taking his offer of the seat, the young Liu respectfully bowed lowly to the Marshal before graciously kneeling opposite him, Tian seemed a kind man; another good sign. "My name is Liu Yongqing, I have come from Yan province; I must say, this being my first visit to Qi, it is a delight to behold the eye Lord Tian." Inclining her head in a form of bow, the young flower of Yan looked to Tian Heng directly; quite captured by him...

Heng nodded, "Yes - Qi is a most uniquely proud and regal state; its splendour catches the eye of many travellers." Heng took a sip from his cup of water, "But her current state of affairs are in dissaray as chaos strikes our land." He swirled the cup around with his hand, "Tell me, why have you requested the presence of one such as myself? I do not wish to be bothered with minuscule tasks as I have a family to defend and a country's honour to uphold."

The attitude of Tian Heng seemingly made a swift change from a kind demeanor to something quite stiff and stern, nonetheless Yongqing knew what the Tian were like. Looking at the Marshal the young Liu smiled and nodded to his small speech, waiting for the time to respond to his question. "Lord Tian, one of the King's loyal servants, Lao Yongrui of Shantian village, spoke of how grand Qi was. I wish to help the King of Qi, my father taught me all he knew of politics and through the skills I have gained wish to aid Lord of Qi as much as I can." Bowing her head for finished her words the young Liu was going to expect some patriarchal speech, but hoped that Tian Heng would allow Yongqing to show her potential...

Tian Heng nodded to the female's answer, "Qi is an awfully long way from Yan, young Liu; why serve my cousin the King instead of a magistrate or politician closer to your home in the north? It is understandable that you would be drawn to the magnificence of the Qi state, but I must know if your intentions are true and pure and not ones of simple opportunity."

It was an expected question, seeing as it was far from Qi; also men could be cautious of a woman's actions. Smiling to Tian Heng, the young Liu let a small sigh leave her lips. "North? many have risen leading small villages in aspirations for greater things, how can I help my home while there are men bickering with each other?. I was told of Qi and it quite captivated me, not truely wishing to remain in Yan all my life I felt perhaps in Qi would be the right place to serve while allowing my skills blossom." Looking at the Marshal, Yongqing wondered if these words could be the 'simple opportunities' that he negatively spoke of; though she could not lie. "I want to help people Lord Marshal, such could be the simple opportunities you could dislike; however, I have worshipped the Heavens and honour them by giving aid to others. Of course having small desires of my own, I feel that with my loyalty to the King and the Tian family; I could do both... Do not mistake me Lord Tian, I do not wish for rank or wealth, such is not a woman's right. My being here is to serve your family." Yongqing hoped Tian Heng would believe her, as it was the way she was brought up; remembering the words of Baixa Zhen who tried to break the chains of patriarchal law, it truely did not stick... It just wasn't Yongqing to do so...

Heng smirked, tasking a small from his cup of water. "Well, if you can promise to serve my family faithfully and loyally; I will permit you into the service of the Qi state. Be warned, however, I will not allow anyone - man, woman or child - to betray the Qi state. My bond with this land shall remain unbroken, no matter what any callous traitors my attempt."

Liu Yongqing is permitted to join Qi

Hearing his words the young Liu was some what dishearted to think that Tian Heng would see her as a possible being of betrayal. However, was a woman always conspired as treacherous? "My Lord, I shall prove to you my loyalty is true and deeper than words.. To you, your family, the King and Qi." Bowing low, Yongqing placed her head onto the floor, now a subject of a King; though lowly now. The young Liu now elovated herself above her father, for he only served a city magistrate; but now, she served a King and his officials. Hard work now layed ahead for her, Yongqing understood she would have to gain their trust. Raising to look at Tian Heng again the young Liu smiled. "If you do not wish me to waste anymore of your time, I shall take my leave and gain my bearings to start working for King Tian." Yingqong could not help to think of those she now left behind: Wang Ti, Li Lang, Baixa Zhen, Liang Feng, Fei Lak, Liu Kang and her entire family.. It was time for this woman to rise, while bringing the Qi province and the King with her...

A small group riders and a wagon arrive in front of the great hall. The leader dismounts and orders his escort to stay put. He bows before guards before introducing himself.

"I am Zhang Gao, Magistrate of Qinan, and I here to pay tribute to the glorious King of Qi."

With that, the general bowed again and unfastened his sword, presenting to the guards a token of his goodwill.

There was a noticeable bite in the wind as Lao Yongrui rode with his personal entourage to Tian Dan's capitol of Chenggao. Among his men are Jen Dun, a former vassal of Han Mai and a good citizen of Qufu, who would be Lao Yongrui's first minister. Another new face in his group was Lun Jiu, a man of his age who had many talents to offer to his new lord, Lao Yongrui.

As they came upon the gates of Chenggao, Yongrui rode to the head of the group, to hail the guards.

"Greetings, good men of Qi, brave soldiers of King Tian. I come to counsel with the King of Qi, for I have recently come across power in Qufu. If you wish to know the details I will spare them to you, but I ultimately wish to convey them to the King myself.

Also... I understand Tian Rong finds me in ill favor, and for this I apologize. I meant no wrongs to the family of Tian, and have only promised servitude to them and aggression to the Qin."

Guo Shao and his retainer wander up to the gates of Chenggao and stop in front of the guards. Guo Shao looks back at his man before shrugging and introducing himself.

"I am Guo Shao, I am here to speak with someone in the hopes of arranging my joining your forces."
