[Lu Ban]

Lak was glad, this was already more than he had hoped for.

"It is agreed then, I will entrust the task to you and your men. Perhaps once the villages are gathered under our banner, you will have the strength to help us with the towns or in other endeavours. I propose to pay you 50 gold per village claimed and if you like you may keep the last one as a base for you and your men and a steady flow of income until you can decide to join us or move on to another location. Is this agreeable?"

Lak took a sip from his cup.

"One of my Generals, Zhang Cei, can help treat those wounds if you like. Should I ask him to come visit you, he might be at least able to help speed up your recovery."

Ban took a sip of his wine and nodded, " Sounds like a deal to me Lord Fei, I'll get started on it right away." He shot up only to feel a sharp pain in his side. Ban sat back down and let Lord Fei finish speaking, " Ah yes, that sounds great thank you. Also, would you mind if my men set up camp a few miles outside the city?"

Lak nodded.

"I'll advise the men, stay closer so you can have access to supplies more easily. Your targets should be villages 5 and/or 6. Usually takes about 750 men to claim one village, if you number more than 1500, you can take both this month. If you're under 750, I'd advise resting and recruiting for this month. You yourself can have quarters here until you find a more permanent camp, if you wish. Cei will attend to your wounds."

OOC: Sorry, not sure how many troops you have, assuming you know this but takes 750 to take a village, 1500 would get you two. Vultar will put in his PT that he is doctoring you, so if you also rest, you'll go up two categories!

Yu Dai wanders into the city on a horse. He makes his way through the city at a slow pace, glancing and taking notes of what he sees.

Riding beside him is his faithful servant Cong Che. Cong Che says upon noticing the guards in front of the administration building, "This is not a place of peace, we should leave here."

Yu Dai looks at the guard, his face betraying no emotion. "I am afraid the path to peace will be a bloodied one," Yu replies to Che.

He stares at the doors of the administration building. "Who resides here," Yu questions the guards without looking at them. "Who is he that I might know him?"

Lu Ban already bid his farewell to Lord Fei and was well on his way to inform his troops on the change of plans. Near the gates of the city, Sure enough Ma Dieu was there with a small band of men. " Thank you for all your help Master Ma, i'll get my battle preparations done immediately." Turning to the newest members of his army, " Men I welcome you to the Azure Dragons, I'll get you all a formal orientation at the camp." With that he bowed to Ma Dieu in thanks and made his way to the Dragon's nest.

Yao Xiong made a long journey north, into Yan, escorted by a few mounted guards in his carriage, bearing the seal of the King of Zhao.

He had to travel carefully, through the open northern provinces. Careful to stay on the main roads, Yao Xiong safely arrived at Fei Lak's gates. With a sigh, he ordered for the door to be opened and to step out and leave the carriage. He ordered his guards to remain posted around the vehicle while he did his business inside.

He looked at the guards and presented himself to them, "I am Yao Xiong, recently made Chief of Officials for the King of Zhao. I am here on royal business and I request to see Lord Fei on important matters of state. I carry no weapons and am willing to undergo whatever unnecessary search you desire to put me through."

"Lord Prefect," replies Yu Dai. "I have have not come to you to seek employment. I have come from the Steepes of Mongolia to seek the honours of the world and to serve a worthy Master. Rumours of your taking of this city has come to me and I desire to join with you to take more and to make my name known. I have 1800 horsemen outside the city in the hills that are ready to fight."

The guards seem a bit nervous, but escort the man directly to the hall after a quick and polite search. They did their best to forewarn the Prefect.

By the time Yao Xiong is admitted, Lak seems a bit surprised though it is well concealed by his welcoming smile.

"Welcome Yao Xiong, I am Fei Lak, Prefect of Shanggu and am honored that you would come visit us. May I offer some refreshments to at least appease the travels somewhat?"
