Temujin wrote:"I am interested, in your wars. Let me accept your proposal. Give me a name. Give me a village. To what limits should I slaughter? Do you wish the traitors villages to remain when we have left?Who will I fight along side?
Where should I sleep?"
Lak stood and nodded with a smile.

"Lord Xunxue Wei, welcome to the Coalition of Yan. Right now, our goal is to rid Yan of the outlaws under Li Lang. I will trust your judgement on the battlefield for you to kill or give mercy to whom you wish as is your right if you are the commander. If you are under the wing of another, I expect you respect his commands as they would yours. I do not wish any innocent peasants harmed nor any locations razed."

Lak gave more thought to the other questions.

"I am not sure who you will fight alongside with, we have several targets in mind for next month, be sure to attend the meetings to provide your input. You may take quarters in the officer's wing, any that are free are yours."

Unless you state otherwise, you are accepted in Fei Lak's forces, post officer info HERE

jiangbao wrote:"Ah, Murong Ba. He is good, I heard he is on pretty good terms with some governor of Changsha. So I wish him well there. Another Brother Chao is also attempting certain actions. Only I am not doing too good, bumming around a great deal. Maybe I should do something too." Jiang Bao replied with a laugh.

"With reference to your enemy, is this man, Li Lang? I think I met him once in a tarven, he seemed nice enough, although his men seemed a little arrogant. But still a overrall positive excounter of sorts." He concluded.
Jing shrugged, "Li Lang is not a friend of mine. He has killed comrades, and he has ruined Yan. He attempts to bring China under the rule of the barbarian hordes. He is paranoid and constantly believe he shall be attacked. He is young but says others are incompetent because they are young. He is a hypocrite." Jing shrugged, "Everyone has different opinions though."

Jiang Bao looked a little surprised. It is not very often General Jing launched some low comments on someone let alone someone with great influence in Yan. He said slowly "So this is the same enemy that you are talking about all the time? He seemed a pretty nice guy, has there been any misunderstanding?"

Jiang Bao personally knew the answer, since the general has already such low comments on Li Lang.

Jing shook his head. I know the man, I have met him. This is what I think of him based of my interactions, and what I have heard of him."

Jiang Bao could only shrug and said "So this man, there are rumours that he leads a huge army, and that his numbers are second to none. How will you hope to stop him. He has taken 2 of your towns and appears to siege your city too. What would you do?"

A lone rider approached the gates of the city of Shanggu, his obvious Xiongnu armour denoting his heritage and master. Even if the man's appearance had not shown his precedence, the banner attached to his horse did, as the white characters for Li Lang's name fluttered in the wind on the purple background of the banner. The man himself was armed to the tooth, with a sword at his side, and a bow in hand. Looking down at the guards, he announced his reasons for visiting.

"I am a messenger of Chief Lang of the Li Clan!" he barked out. "Here to give Fei Lak a message, regarding the possible cessation of violence between our two forces!"

Unfortunately for the rider, it was no mere soldier who answered the calls. Lurking about outside the gates of Shanggu overseeing the training of the elite Shanggu bodyguard corps, Liang Feng's roving eyes caught sight of the fluttering banner. The characters in it made him sneer in fury, as he roared down from atop the gate fortifications.

"Guards! See what this man has to say!"
immediately 20 men wearing the colors of the elite guards came thundering out of the gates, their spears and halberds ready for anything. They immediately took the horse by the reins to hold it steady as they waited for the coalition's champion to come down from the parapets.

Once the massive figure of Liang Feng on his powerful stallion Doombringer had come galloping out of the gate, he looked at the messenger with glaring eyes of steelish burgundy. "Dismount from your steed and say what you have to say!" he demanded, his infamous halberd Twilight Mourning twiddling in his hand.

"Don't try or say anything funny if you wish to come out of here alive!"

Lak heard of the messenger outside as the commotion grew throughout the building. He rushed there quickly for fear what his men would do. Liang Feng was already surrounding the man so Lak put a hand on his shoulder.

"Feng, he's just a messenger, search him and move him through."

Lak waited as the protocols were followed and the man allowed in.

"I am very eager to hear your words, but first, are you in need of refreshments, rest? If not, please say your peace."

Lak waited, noting how on edge the men were, yet he had great hopes for what this man would say.

Turning to find the Chief holding him back with a gentle hand, the stalwart champion lowered his halberd, his anticipation lessening yet his eyes not softening. With a grunt, he allowed his men to disarm the messenger, and shoved him through to the hall after Fei Lak. All his weapons were taken from him by the guards.

His eyes silently watching the man, he stayed quiet as he listened in on what he would say.

Lu Anguo rode over to the headquarters of Fei Lak in Shanggu. He was skeptical about going, since his force was not at full strength, nor did he have any proper armaments to equip them. He was not looking forward to becoming another officer, for it was likely that the lord already had his hierarchy of officers, probably inferior to the experience Lu Anguo, but he would not say much on the subject.

Lu wore what armor he had, mounted atop his red steed, and carried his poor quality spear. Next to him rode his second, Jin Tuan, his loyal companion. The two men halted their horses and looked down on the guards. "I have a letter from lord Fei Lak. Move out of my way." Said Lu Anguo. He finished what wine he had left and tossed it into the grass.
