Seeing as you do not know of me I can only ascertain that you were unaware of your subordinates conduct and from that conclude that you did not wish to see me or have use for me. Should you wish to see the scroll it is in the possession of your captain here, and I give permission for you to read it."

With that he positioned himself as to stay or leave at the slightest indication of the chief.
