Jiang Bao and Lan Kai both sat down and sip some tea. Jiang Bao replied "Ah well, Changsha seems to be slightly more peaceful as compared to Yan. That is not saying much. I suppose there are lesser people there trying to take any city. We have no place right now and we just encamp any place. I do hope you are not here to sell me young men's dreams of fame and glory simply to alleviate me of my men and fortune."
Taking the scroll into his hands and reading it he grunted. Letting the scroll drop to his feet, he spoke again without meeting the other mans gaze.
"I serve no man, I once did and it nearly destroyed me. I was abandoned and left to rot at the hands of his enemies. I will speak with your master however, seeing as it is the least respect I can give. Do not count this in any way to be a victory in your pursuit of my loyalty."

Lord XunXue Wei, arrived at the city with a foul taste in his mouth. He never did like so many people gathered in one place unless they were there to do battle. Cities were like pock marks on the landscape, far too much noise and hassle for his simple tastes.
He approached the hall of this new ruler and thrust the scroll he had been given into the hands of the guard. Grunting at the gaurd to let him in he crossed his arms and waited.

The guard nodded to the visitor and then immediately left to find their Captain-General and notified him of the scroll. Moments later, a powerful man wearing elaborate black armor and carrying an enormous halberd in his hand appeared. Facing XunXue Wei, he grunted and addressed him in his normal gruff tone,
"I am Liang Feng, commander of the guard here in Shanggu! What business do you have with the Chief Fei Lak? Speak and you shall be granted passage!"
He stood there like a pillar of iron, waiting for the visiting warrior's reply.

So can we dispense with the verbal arm wrestling and get to business? I have no desire to waste your time or my own."
XunXue Wei rolled a thick bolus of salivia around in his mouth with his tongue, he wondered if this man was going to exhale before or after he pasted out from his peacockery. Ah but who was he to judge, He was a simple country man and never did presume to be smart or adept in the politicking of city mens lives. He simply did not fathom compensation for lacking in other departments, simply fire straight and be done with it.
He looked up for a moment to see if his words had been good enough.

After the guards have had their 'fill', Liang Feng smirked again, the great halberd in his hand swaying as he turned around towards the main hallway, where Fei Lak's office is located. Looking back at the man with half a face, he nodded.
"Then come stranger! Follow me to the Chief's hall."
His heavy metal boots made loud clanking noises on the marble floor of the palace, the guards looking on nervously as the Champion of the Coalition led the guest to their leader Fei Lak. When they had reached his presence, he nodded to the Chief,
"I have a guest for you here!" he said, suddenly remembering that he did not know the man's name..
"Then come stranger! Follow me to the Chief's hall."
