Wu Chen looks at the Lady in front of him apprasingly noticing for once that despite her martial nature she wasnt actually unattractive....maybe she could be the icing on the cake for the deal.
"Man power I think. We need builder, both labourers and skilled craftsmen" Lu Ying said slowly before smiling at the General, noticing the odd look the man was giving her.

"Indeed, a rich Zhao will be of huge benifit to Chu. After all, the path of war is paved with gold"

Pan Dao nodded immediately, “Of course I will make a full report to the King. He is, at present, involved in a rather extended consultation. Though, of course, if you wish to remain in Chen and come again…?”
"Well, if he is busy, I do need to get back to Liang, for there is much work to be done. I hope it would not be disrespectful to leave before meeting with the King, would it?"
((OOC I must have misread this - I thought you 'd left the AH all that time ago! Sorry  ))

Pan Dao said, "Of course not, I shall make your report and, perhaps, you could visit when you have more information for the King."

Anoter anti-Qin province, the many protestors of the Empire was becoming stronger and t seemed they had invited Gong to join them; quite flattering. However, the horse that took Shuilong from province to province could have thought different. All provinces differed, even if they bordered each other, as Chu was quite something... But it did not compare to that of Wu and Huainan. Dismounting the horse Gong believed he should walk the few steps to the gates, finally giving his horse a rest. Shuilong's attire did not change, retaining the fine blue silks of his robes with the dragon emblem upon the back. Lightly walking to the guards, his movements were fluid as the Yellow River and his eyes piercing as the Dragon that would wrap it's tale around the throne. "Guards, my name is Sima Gong... I am here on request by a Lord Zheng Ti; please inform him that I have arrived." His voice was calm and gave the sense of the calm seas in summer and spring, where the deities of the depths allow merchants to cross with ease..

The guards search the man for weaponry, stable his horse, and lead him to the Magistrate Office. The antechamber was littered with pillows and several yi and Xiangqi boards in mid game. When Ti waddled in, he made a move on each board before bowing and sitting in front of the serene Sima.

Lord Sima, I am so glad you arrived. I spent quite some time developing my pitch to bring skilled gentlemen such as yourself to this fair city and province. Have you had a chance to see this land? It is rather quaint.

If the latest tianming has told us anything it is that King Chen follows taijii by ascending to the throne. This is a glorious place for followers of the Scholar to find employ.

As Zheng moved into the room, Shuilong graciously bowed to him as a master to a student; taking a seat Gong was glad to finally speak with someone who looked closer to his age than the many others he had visited. The youth were becoming too rash and strength becoming the core purpose for everything; forgetting the teachings of old. "I had not heard that the Lord Chen would strive to abide by the teachings of those such as Laozi and Zhuangzi... I must confess Lord Zheng, it is a pleasure to finally meet with someone of my age; those of youth are discarding the fundamentals of the times for objects out of their reach... The natural order must be retained to allow stability." Looking to the ground, there were rumours in Wu that Chen She was one of the anti-Qin; however Shuilong could not take such a matter seriously until he was reassured. "I have much respect for the Qin however, it was the Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi who tried to claps the Heavens; heading for goals far beyond his own station... He created a curse for the entire Qin Empire.. Laozi taught us to never place one infront of others, this can help with stability. Lord Zheng, I have been told that our Lord Chen was against the two Emperors.. Is such fact?" The voice of Shuilong became very calm, like a pupil speaking with his former tutor; Gong being glad to speak with a scholar.. One of Laozi, Zhuangzi and Liezi.. However, it was these times being the opposite, one of Kong Fuzi, was a harsh moment. Gong's eyes shone bright, movements lyrical as the waters of spring; symbolising his courtesy name Shuilong in full unknown pride... If one observed carefully, one of eyes of old, one could see markings upon his headress; the characters of three deities of watery forms... Mazu: the Goddess of the Seas, Lo Shen: the delightful River deity and Jialong: the powerful lake Dragon, a being without wings so protects the Sea from harm... All signs of a Mushi of the Water; once again pointing to Shuilong...

The last statement made Zheng's eyes go wide.

Quiet you, you must not say such things here if you value your safety

In a much more hushed tone

While you might respect that legalist, and his foul understanding of human nature such sentiments could get you killed in this land. The Scholar understood filial relationships while the Qin most certainly did not since the Emperor returned nothing to his people but life on the wall. Proper leaders understand that tianming requires service and honor to those you rule.

returning to a normal tone

King Chen understands the teaching of the Scholar, that he must advance the upright and set aside the crooked, then the people will submit. Qin and the other lords advance the crooked and set aside the upright, and their people will not submit.

Nodding to the advice of Zheng, appreciative of the concern but also disheartened; his words pointed to Zheng caring of his life more than the people... A shame, his fear was something that would not aid to try and rid the corruption of the both the Qin sides. Looking directly at Zheng, the dragon-like eyes showed the sadness of his words; Chen She, perhaps not the one for Shuilong to follow. "I am thankful for such words.. But.." Quickly changing the tone of his voice to one calmer, similar to the melodies of when they first met. "Lord Zheng, the crooked should not be dismissed; both beings should be embraced and allowed to live.. I understand many may fall for such, but no one should be forgotten." More and more, all the words coming from Zheng's lips were pushing Shuilong further away; the water fading, like a drought. However, Gong would sit in hope that the next words of this man would allow some light to shine upon Chen She and this province of Chu...

Crooked men must be dismissed once they lose the mandate. What tian rules should not be opposed by men or the world will experience tragedy. You do not forget the tyranny of the past, but you do not allow it to continue much less embrace it. Such action is in know way filial.

"Perhaps you a right, in some sense.. However, one can embrace the corrupt without falling to the ghosts of the past." Looking to the floor, Gong was still unsure whether this Chen She would do anything; perhaps become a tide, to go forward to inevitably move backward. "Though, some turmoil has to be eradicated, for it is too far gone from purification." As the Dragon eyes gazed at Zheng once again, Shuilong allowed a small sigh of sadness on the people's situation. "Lord Zheng, how did you come to bow to Lord Chen? Were you drawn or invited?" The latter seemed to unbelievable as rumours spread that Chen She's old friends would no longer visit him in fear of their own lives, a man such as this does not sound the type to invite a being to serve him..

I was drawn to the King. I am the most skilled city administrator in all of the land. Why would I offer my skills to some remote land who could not make use of my talents. Finding the right master is filial.
