Some Calvin & Hobbes, as well as America by Jon Stewart. Also, I picked up Catch-22 from my English class and read it in a day. Definately a top 10 for me, and never before has a book made me laugh so much. :)

Unfortunately I've had very little time to read for my own leisure. I never really got much more then a few days of vacation. I did read Henderson's book on political theory, as well as Robert Dahl's modern political analysis.

Not really much fun. I really want to get that ultimate Calvin and Hobbes collection that came out.

Liu Bang then asked Han Xin, who had served under Xiang Yu but was driven out, "what is Xiang Yu's weakness? Is there a way to defeat him?" Han Xin calmly replied, "No, Xiang Yu himself is invincible, he is destined to be king."

Two books to suggest!

Maximum City - Suketu Mehta

History: A Novel - Else Morante

Both good - History especially. It is sad though.

I recently finished The Pale Horsemen by Bernard Cornwell. It's the sequel to The Last Kingdom. It's a great series so far, historical fiction set in 9th century England.

I also just bought Cartomancy by Michael Stackpole. It's the seqeul to A Secret Atlas. I haven't read it yet, I'm still rereading the first book. I've heard it's much better than the first (as that one was largely an introduction).

Oh, and ann ... did you and Kymvir read A Feast For Crows yet? I don't remember if I ever asked you.

Ooh, good one. One of these days I'll get around to doing something worthwhile and see if I can get this 'Samwell Tarly' business changed

... if I'm not too craven.

My favorites are/were Syrio Forel, Aeron Greyjoy, Tormund Giantsbane, Brynden Tully, Dacey Mormont, Bronn, Kevan Lannister, Shagga son of Dolf, Donal Noye, Dollorous Edd Tollet, Yoren, Salladhor Saan, Davos Seaworth, Jaime Lannister, Ilyn Payne, Thoros of Myr, and Jaqen H'ghar.

The others are cool too, but I liked those the best.
