Here's a question. Did Liu Bang and Zu Yanghei ever get around to executing Zhang Han's brother? I remember the threats, but I think Liu Bang's inactivity prevented the killing from actually happening. Or did I miss it?

The battle won't be re-run. The tactic error on my part wouldn't have modified any success chances to impact the battle, so it will stand.

I do think that Ma Dieu has proven a need for a new battle system for V5. Good thing a very different one is in the works! The next version of Warlords is going to be dramatically different.
