As Ma Dieu and his tired soldiers marched into the lands of Hin Wu, they were prepared for another bloody battle to fight. However, much to his surprise, and the relief of his men, Ma Dieu found the gates of the cities of Liang thrown open to him upon his arrival. The populace cleared roads for his forces to march upon, and some even showered him with praises upon his arrival.

When asked about the whereabouts of Hin Wu or Xiang Yu, the people merely shrugged. It seemed that almost nobody had seen them skulk away.
