With discipline only a soldier could show, Kang Shi remains unresponsive to the pleas of the enemy to spare his life, he again requests permission from the forces of Shi Tong to commit suicide.

Liao Zun with his failure to seize Boyang still fresh in his mind approaches Kang Shi. "The ancestors will never let you rest in peace if you don't redeem yourself. If you fear further failure you can join my village and help the people there. We have much work to do in the fields and even if your martial prowess has failed you perhaps you could use your strength in another discipline. When the harvest comes we will need help. If you take your life now, you will be showing this world and the next that you never had anything to offer." Turning away, Liao Zun returns to his depleted and tired army to prepare a retreat back to his village.

Fi Ran looked at his allies and then to Kang Shi. "People are requesting your services and you decide to take a short cut out of it and take your own life?". He then smirked at him quickly. "Go ahead then....you will get no remorse from me. I have no need of the weak and feeble".

He then turned his back and turned his head round. "But I request you to duel me before you pass on to the next life....should you beat me you will find that you have some honor left to defend".

Chuckling wryly, Kang Shi replied, "Very well. Unbind me and give me a blade."

Ran smiled as he drew his weapon. "Yes give the man a weapon...but in any case I shall give you a warriors death".

He then looked around before shouting the end of his statement. "THE GREATEST DEATH POSSIBLE!!".
