Jian smiled and even chuckled at the thought of the court ministers following behind the army and, despite being naive, knew full well that it was an unlikely scenario. He nodded his head in agreement, for the night had begun to get away from him, and there were a great many beasts that he would prefer to not tangle with, especially in the dark. So, after rounding up his own horse and gathering his few provisions, he mounted before replying to Su's question.
"No, actually I haven't met anyone outside of yourself, oh yeah, and Sheng Feng who interviewed my brother and I. But I'd hardly say I trust, I hardly know him," he replied with a chuckle. He felt it would be a good idea to get his new friends opinion on some other officers, and so decided to ask, "so what about you, have you met anyone since coming here?"

Ma Su kicked dirt on the fire before remounting and replied "Shen Feng is a good man, we have worked together before on assignment. A smooth talker I'd say, he's a good one to get to know. As for others" he started trotting back to the city "Rue Goung is of the reliable sort, a good general. Guang Kai is very much the politician, you should watch to see what he does in the near future. I won't delve into detail here about the rest, but there are both good and bad officers in Chen."
He yawned briefly and stretched. He was tired from the days earlier schmoozing with the bigwigs. "I suspect you don't have many strong contacts in the city, being so new to the court, am I right?"

((OOC: Sorry for this taking so long to get back to))
Tai looked at the waitress with a smile.
"I'd just like some wine, and something light to eat. Any sort of vegatables you might have, it really doesn't matter."
Tai really wasn't used to this sort of place, but anything new had to be fun, right? At least that's what she told herself. She was busy thinking things over anyways.
"So King of Blood, it seems the ladies know you here." She smiled somewhat at that. "Must be regular, no?"
She returned to staring at Zhuwen, the colors that were swirling around him.
"So if we're going to travel together some, where shall my King of Blood be leading me first? Somewhere peaceful perhaps, in order to try and sway my affections? Maybe look for a battle field, just to get the adrenaline going? I am very curious where the breeze might take me."
OneEyedDrgn wrote:"...Doesn't sound too tempting if you ask me," Zhuwen said in response to Tai's question. "I don't feel too bad about killing, and I'd like it to stay that way. Heck, just thinking about it sounds creepy. I see it this way... Whether I killed the guy or not, he was going to die sometime soon anyway. And anyone should be prepared to die in war, I know I was. That's not to say I want to die of course, I just know that reaper might come at me anytime. I'll laugh at it and mock it before I cringe in fear."
All the talking made Zhuwen feel a bit queasy. He liked seeing the world in his simple views, the complicated things he usually didn't bother with.
"Well... I wouldn't say killing is fun exactly. I just like fighting. I don't know why, just brings a little thrill, gets you pumped up. Maybe it's a guy thing. Killing just comes with it, I think only sadists would actually like killing. But hey, if that's all it took to be a king, I'd be fine with it. I more don't want to deal with all that administration, politics, and governing crap."
They were at the village now, and it was fairly getting dark. There were a lot less people now, and the chirping of crickets could be heard. Zhuwen let out a loud yawn, after the meal, he'd probably;y knock out. He led Tai into a medium-sized inn, a place where one could eat downstairs and the rooms were on the upper floors. The place seemed fairly lively, the room to eat lit up with bright torches, the sound of chatter filling the room, and a tasty aroma coming from the kitchen. He motioned for Tai to sit at a table, and soon enough a waitress came. The waitress, a young woman probably no older than twenty frowned when she saw Zhuwen.
"Well... You're back Sir Liang. Another lady, will you ever stop your womanizing?"
"Hey hey... You like ruining my nights don't you? But no, she isn't like the others, heck, I'm not even getting any action. Anyway, get me the usual and anything the lady wants."
The waitress gave a doubtful look at the man, and then looked at Tai to see what she would want.
Tai looked at the waitress with a smile.

As the two young men rode back to the city and Su spoke of the various officers in Chu, Jian nodded his head and listened intently, making a mental note of those he may approach later. When asked of his contacts within the city, Jian could only shake his head and smile before replying, "No, none besides my brother, but he is quite influential, or at least he will be once he petitions the court. Besides that you're basically the only person I know."Jin Shi wrote:Ma Su kicked dirt on the fire before remounting and replied "Shen Feng is a good man, we have worked together before on assignment. "Mmm... Okay, watch out for this one anyway..." the waitress warned Tai, as she left to take the orders. Zhuwen could only laugh as he watched the waitress leave; it seemed he didn't care much that he was rather disliked. Tai's words could only amuse Zhuwen even more.
"Regular, somewhat. I actually haven't been back to Chu for a while and you're only the second woman I've brought. I brought a lot of women when I was serving Xiang Yu though, and that's why that girl doesn't really like me. Says something about I'm a pig or something," Zhuwen said with another laugh.
As he finished the explanation, Zhuwen realized how differently he was acting with Tai compared to most women. If he wanted any action for the night, it would be stupid of him to tell any woman he was with what he just told Tai now. At her question however, Zhuwen lifted an eyebrow and he had a small look of surprise.
"Huh, you want me to be the one to lead? I was actually thinking I'd go wherever you wanted." He paused, as he rubbed his chin. "Well, like I said, I just live for the moment, and I don't have a destination. Hell, when I travel in the roads, I don't even look at a map, just go around randomly. We can do that, or we can plan some stuff out together. You have any places of interests, or some personal goals?"

Ma Su chuckled a little and half-joked "Well, since I haven't met him nor heard of you two until tonight, you guys don't sound very influential." "Glory. Justice. Peace. A family in the future. These are the four goals I have." He paused. He didn't know exactly what would happen tomorrow, so he only had thoughts for the here and now, and the far future, leaving in between to the fates. "Power will help bring those things about." He smelled the night air, it was slightly damp, dewy in a way. "So what are your thoughts on expanding the Kingdom's lands? Too soon, or just the right time?" He wondered if this man was a defensive or offensive general, the two being radically different from the other.
Re: Chu Provincial Roleplay
He chuckled too at the little joke and nodded his head in agreement. "Oh, you'll see, he's just been biding his time and working with officials inside the court to bolster his support, at least that's what he tells me. When he's ready he'll appear before the King or one of his higher ranking officials." Jian couldn't help but smile when he heard Su speak of his four goals. Each of them, besides perhaps the family part, matched his own. He then replied to the question about his views on expansion by saying, "well, why not press his advantage? He has the troops, and while everyone else is building up I think he should add to his holdings, so long as he doesn't push too far and over extend himself."Jin Shi wrote:Ma Su chuckled a little and half-joked "Well, since I haven't met him nor heard of you two until tonight, you guys don't sound very influential." He Looked at who he considered his new friend then added, "I really hope you get to meet Xiao before he gets his army and we leave to take some cities. I think you two would hit it off grandly."

"I suppose I don't much look at a map either, so much as I just tend to know where I'm going." Tai thought about where she was going. "I haven't been to Jiaoxi in a while, so I think i might lead us in that direction, and see what there is out there. perhaps go even further south, after a time."
She thought about the other part of his question. she honestly wondered if she had real personal goals.
"Goals are harder to come up with, though everyone has them, whether they know it or not. My only goal right now, is to go where I go, and see if I am needed there, or least if there's anything fun to do."

Re: Chu Provincial Roleplay
Xiang Yu listened to the emperor's words. He did control his expression at the term 'humble supporter' though it was not as easy to manage as some might have hoped. The Righteous Emperor had little claim to influence over rewards so the King did not choose to respond to his suggestion regarding Qing Bu. However he got the response he had hoped for with respect to the location of a capital.Zhao Ren wrote:And so no answers were given. Was this Xiang Yu's intent? The Emperor nodded absently, wondering what Xiang Yu was planning. "Yes, it would please us greatly to give rewards to our most faithful followers." But was there more to be said? The Emperor decided to take the bait and thus declared, "Let us reward our followers in accordance to their tenure. If it is reasonable, we ask the Hegemon King of Western Chu to outfit Qing Bu, who has served us faithfully these few years, so that he may conquer those who reject our Imperial will. Let this be done before the harvest is collected." And so Qing Bu would be out of the current Imperial capital within the year, if Xiang Yu heeded the decree.
But there was still the issue of the Imperial capital itself. Surely this was some scheme by Xiang Yu to undermine his power, but he did have a point. Chen was a rather small city, inappropriate for the capital of the new reigning regime. There was Xiangcheng and Guling, both of which were still within Xiang Yu's domain, likely playing to his interests. Surely there had to be another way... "As to the issue of the Imperial capital, we are in agreement with our most humble supporter. Chen is not deserving of being the capital of our Empire. Therefore, we ask of our greatest general that he may task his servants to survey the land and determine a more fitting capital for us to reside in."
"A suitable place will be found, Righteous Emperor,"
With that Xiang Yu left the hall. He did not wait for permission to depart.

Bandit Investigation in Chu
it was not long sens the bandits sacked the town of Xinzcheng. from the rummer he had heard the bandits attacked the town and made out with much gold and valuables. Jang was given the task of investigating and researching the whereabouts of the bandits and the current state of the surrounding territory. Jang made hsi way to his first target to start the investigation, the town of xinzcheng. walking through the town jang tried to observe the damage that was caused by the bandits as well as the state of living the citizens were in. as he walked he came upon the main administration building in the hart of the city. there he stood before the guards and bowed in respect.
"greeting i am Rou Jang an officer under the service of the King of chu and the heavens own Emperor Yi. if i may, i would like to talk to your Governor about the attack on your city just recently."
Jang awaited a response form the men.
