Huan Tang made his way to the Yin capital to inquire about the prisoner exchange. It had been sometime and his Duke decided they should check up on their eternal opponents, it wasn't like King Li to delay such an exchange.

"I am Huan Tang, a representative of Duke Fei on official business."

Tang waited patiently to be admitted.

Having heard that an emissary of Duke Fei Lak had arrived in the capital, the Prefect of Zhongmu tended to the will of his lordship, King Li Zhu and took this matter into his own hands.

"Aw, welcome sir. My name is Ridd Ler, Prefect of Zhongmu. I will be attending and dealing with the matters at hand, shall we?"

Extending an arm to escort the representative inside.

Bowing low the envoy followed.

"I pray all is well over here Prefect, we are a bit concerned that no one has followed up on the plans to exchange prisoners. It is not like the King to delay or forfeit such an exchange so I was sent to inquire about it."

The man was casual about the conversation despite the serious nature of his visit.

Bringing the envoy to his personal office in the Audience building, he would offer him a seat, taking his own across from him.

"Yes, yes. Everything here is fine, the good King seemed to just be rather busy in these days and some things tend to slip his mind it would appear. Now, onto the business at hand. I'm rather new to when it comes to the exchange in prisoner's. May I ask as to how many prisoner's, and their ranks his Lordship is holding?

The envoy took a scroll from his robes.

"Of course.
Supreme Commander Qing Dun.
Marshal Min Xi.
General Ba Zhan.
Lieutenant General Hua Zhaojun.
The agreement was 1500 gold for the Supreme Commander, 1250 for the Marshall and General and 1000 for the Lieutenant General. These numbers were based off past negotiations and the ranks of the detainees."

Rolling up the scroll, the envoy awaited a response.

The Prefect's eyes went wide from the very large sums of money for the military commander's releases. He was rather shocked to hear this and closed his eyes momentarily, thinking out a course of action. After a few moments of silence, Ridd Ler opened his eyes and looked back at the envoy.

"That is a rather large sum of gold, sir. I do hope that in those large sums of money that the commander's will return with all their goods and belongings?"

The envoy shrugged, shaking his head.

"Unfortunately no. The Duke was very clear that their belongings were forfeit, a reminder of the consequences of defying Yan. Prefect Ridd, you must understand that Yan has the upper hand in the negotations as none of their own was ever captured and therefore left little room for leniency. The people of the north are also resentful of Yin's implication and dedication to a war they had should not have meddled in. That being said, gold is not the only thing that interests Yan. You have holdings in Jibei that we consider we have a right to. The fortress between Zhao and Changshan as well has tremendous value to us. If Yin has had enough of war with us as much as we have had of it with you, perhaps all these resources such as holdings, prisoners and peace can be meshed in one huge agreement?"

The man waited, not sure what to expect, his goal was to secure payment for Yin's men, but the Duke had been clear that if peace was possible, to try for it.

The Prefect was a little bit shocked and not to mention rather irritated when the envoy spoke of such things, though he kept his comments to himself; he was a man of formality and duty after all.

It was then the Prefect had heard a knock on the door.

"Excuse me a moment."

Standing up from his desk, the Prefect quickly slipped out of his office and motioned for one of the guards to move inside with the envoy momentarily. Speaking with one of the representatives to his Lordship, he quickly came back into his office, a scroll in hand as he took his seat.

"My apologizes."

Unraveling the scroll before him, he quickly scanned over the information and nodded, re-rolling up the scroll and setting it aside.

"It would appear that certain circumstances have arose and my superior's orders are to offer you payment for the return of Supreme Commander Qing Dun and General Ba Zhan. The other two were not mentioned and accounted for. But it also states that we will pay the sums for each of their respected prices and not expect their belongings to be returned with them, as you stated."

Catching his breath momentarily he continued as he folded his hands within his lamp, pouring himself a glass of tea and would offer the envoy a glass. If he accepted, Ridd Ler would pour him a glass as well and take a sip from his own glass. If not, he would take a sip from his glass before speaking once more.

"On the matter of the holdings in Jibei and the fortress between Zhao and Changshan. I am not able to speak on these matters at the moment. Though as a man of politics and not so much war, I find all this bloodshed rather displeasing. But, for me to bring up a peace offering between our two nations is not for me to say. That would require the attention of a higher ranking superior even than myself, for I am merely a representative to the King and cannot make such decisions on my own. Lastly, I am sure that if the situation we are in at the moment still occurs in the coming month, that my superiors would like to speak to your Duke, Fei Lak personally. I am sure you understand."

The envoy nodded.

"I understand, we will escort the two prisoners near your border fortress in Changshan if you can meet us there with the gold. My Duke also understands the situation, please simply ensure the proper authorities know that Yan is open to peace if the offer for it is fair and the Duke deems he gets what he believes is their right."

Handing over a map with where the exchance should take place, the envoy took his leave.

"Please also ensure there are only 1000 men and no more in your garrison, the Duke will only send 1000 men to escort the prisoners. Considering the past exchanges, we do not expect any problems but we know the trust between us is frail."

OOC: Should we continue in Changshan RP for the exchange?

Nodding in reply to the envoy's words, he would scan over the map placed before him before setting it aside momentarily.

"I will make sure to follow the procedures according to your Duke's whim and will bring the tallied sum of gold with me and my escort."

Standing, he would show the envoy the door and bow politely.

"Till we meet again soon, sir. Hopefully united and under a peaceful union in the near future."

OOC: Yes, taking this to the Changshan RP will work fine.
