"Be wary in your dealings with others, Lord," replied Guan Ying, "While I held Supreme Commander Meng in high esteem for his battlefield prowess, his cooperation with the Brotherhood was naught but selling his soul to the devil. Blinded by his duties and the difficulties that he faced, he made a decision that ultimately proved disastrous. I hope that Lord will not do the same given your current predicament."

"If you wish, I can offer my services to Lord . . ." continued the former silk merchant.

"Of course," replied Peng, looking grateful for the offer. "I need all the assistance I can muster for the future: for soon enough those cultists will be coming my way as well. I would be proud to count you among my numbers."
