Li Zhu lets the diplomat leave
AaronH229 wrote:Li Zan looks at the guards with some suprise, them not knowing their own regent.

"Look, search me, take my weapons but let me go and see the man himself, he will confirm our relation...ok?"
The guard spoke as he scoffed, "Alright, alright, we'll let him say for himself who you really are." The guard then removed all weapons from Li Zan and took him into the city. A short time after they appeared before the office of Li Zhu, it was not a very illustrious room, and it was very cluttered, but on the other end sat Li Zhu. When Li Zhu noticed that Zan had entered, his face went pale, and his mouth stood agape. As far as Li Zhu was concerned, he was looking at a ghost.

Li Zan allows a tight smile to appear on his features at the look on his borthers face. Stepping forward he bows....fractionally before straightening up and looking Li Zhu in the eyes.

"I can understand the suprise brother....I believe the last time we met you left me for dead?"

Li Zhu smiled and said, "This looks all just fine to me, do you have the paper?"

Li Zhu's face turned red with shame, "Left you for dead? But you were dead! Dead as can be! How did you, how could you have survived?"

Li Zan scoffed at the thought before nodding once slowly.

"I had been hit in the head with a mace that is true....I suppose I looked dead, when i came to I was alone, I was forced to make my way to a local village and it took me nearly a year to recover then I stayed out of the way to relearn the things i forgot....though my skill at archery has not been the same since.."

Li Zhu, just getting over the shock, started to laugh, "Hahaa, so you are alive then, my brother, I had thought for a second there that you were going to haunt me. But! How did you know where I was?"

Jin Kai and Wu Bei, with an entourage of fifty soldiers and courtiers approached the Palace of the King of Yin. Wu Bei stepped to the front to address the guards at the gate.

"The Lord Prefect Jin of Changshan wishes an audience with the King."
Jin Sui (23)

The maid at the entrance speaks,

"The King is ill. His daughter reigns in Yin. Would that be acceptable, sire?"

Wu Bei looked back to his brother, who nodded. "Very well."

Jin Kai stepped down from his carriage and stepped ahead of Wu Bei. "Take me to the Lady then."

The maid bows, then speaks,

"This is still a king's court, and we must keep up propriety and all that. While the Lady doesn't really mind people going in and out armed, I have to ask you leave any weapons behind with the guards here, for the sake of the royal prerogative. King Xia himself is ill, as you may have heard, and his condition may worsen if his Highness hears of his daughter meeting armed guests in his own hall."

If this was agreed to, she then escorted them to the Lady's chamber...

Where she was trying to shoot blunted arrows across the room while sitting down in her chair at heavily armoured guards who stood there stoically, if a little nervously, as she had requested. Giggling, she stopped as a guest entered the chamber, and signalled for the arrows to be cleaned up, hitching the bow to her heap. She asks,

"Well, who is kind enough to grace me with his presence here today?"

"Lord Jin Kai of Changshan, ma'am."

"Ah, Prefect Jin! I have heard of your pronouncement from weeks past. I am curious...Lord Xiong and his close ally Master Zhang were known to me and in the case of Master Zhang, we were on quite friendly terms. How are they? And what brings your eminence to visit this simple woman?"
