While Sukh normally stood and looked menacing as the bodyguard when the fancy pants Liu had his guests, his face turned to a goofy grin when he saw the princess. He went from the corner post to Liu's side and began.

Hello crazy princess. How have you been? Is your father still confusing and uptight?

"Oh, I'll chat with those two after, if you can find them. I am still spoiling for a fight with one. I don't exactly like losing duels, you know... But forget about that for now. After all, it's you I've come to meet. But don't be surprised I don't remember any of what you speak of. My memory is terrible sometimes."

She shrugged at the comment on her staff, and they had tried, but she rather liked things given straight from the horse's mouth...if that metaphor even made sense.

"As for my staff, well, only my father used to get briefed of political happenings. I never had any reason to learn or care, until now, to be honest. So the staff never bothered to attempt to inform me, since I would usually just shrug them away."

Then, beaming, she asked,

"Anyways, you definitely just danced around the question there...as my Father would call it. So, yeah, tell me, good sire, who is Liu Jin, and in where does he seek to lead the province of Wei, once its unification is finally completed?"

The princess stopped and looked past the man to see a familiar face, and she chuckled,

"Oh my! It's you! The silly barbarian! Hee...And as for my Father...well, actually, he's sick. But, anyways, it's not crazy princess. It's crown princess, alright?"

The barbarian beamed at the princess and offered his hand in greeting.

Oh no, it is not good for your father to be ill. You must get him a doctor. He seemed important. You have a crown, princess general? Do the fancy titles help you find a stallion? Such a strong filly shouldn't need such bobs and ribbons to turn heads.

In a more hushed tone

Do you come for money to get your father well? He seemed stingy, maybe he is poor. I have some little I could help with. Important people need doctors if they aren't healthy and strong like us northerners.

"I did get him a doctor...The best in the kingdom, in fact. And well, I don't usually wear my crown, though, right now, the golden clip of my hair is coronet enough. As for the fancy titles, well they don't, but they make the people who serve me feel important themselves."

Then, when he whispered, she laughed,

"Oh, no, no, not at all! My Father has money enough. He is stingy though. He spends it not so much on stuff we would like as a family, but stuff that would benefit the cities he governs. I do manage to get him to give me a gift once in a while...but I think he's trying to make up for the years he spoiled me in Qi. Ah well...I'll always have the good, elegant times..."

The barbarian nodded astutely at the princess.
Sometimes chiefs must make hard decisions. You tell him to get better for me or else I may have to come and tell him myself that fathers do not get sick on their daughters. You probably have important business with Lord Liu, but I will have my man Xun Bi at your call if you would like to go for a ride when this is all done. I recently bought the most beautiful stallion and we could race.

"Me??? I am but a commoner who cannot boast of any lineage to any royalty. I had the fortune to meet a group of righteous brothers and sisters who voted me the leader of the group. We got to where we are by virtue of hard work and some luck too. The ineptness of some around us aided our fortunes to certain extent.

As it is, the future of Wei lies in fragile balance. Over the last few months, I was made increasingly aware of the hungry wolves that eye Wei from outside her borders. In fact we believe many of the brigands currently terrorising Wei are but lowly agents/advanced parties sent by these wolves. It is too early to speculate where or when we will venture out of Wei when its unification is not even completed, and its future much less secure."

"Oh! I would be charmed to take a ride with you, sire Chuluun. I will make sure to inform your man when I am finished with business here."

Then, she turned back to the aspiring lord of Wei and shook her head,

"Oh, don't worry about your background. Nobles are just people whose ancestors did the exact same thing you did now, back hundreds or thousands of years ago. The good ones are the ones who still learn to keep doing so from their Fathers. At least, that's what I think."

She frowned at hearing about brigands, and nodded,

"Yes, but don't worry. Brigands cannot continue to feed off a land forever. They are like animals, they must keep moving, or fade away in hunger and poverty. These too shall pass, especially since these very animals don't exactly have anywhere safe to go. Though, you might be better off considering the establishment of another field army to expedite the process. It might help, I would guess..."

She shrugged, not exactly knowledgable on how to deal with bandits herself...

"Perhaps, we are trying to expand our military as fast as we can. Our main problem however is not getting enough enough qualified leaders to lead the armies.

These bandits may be dogs but they sure are slippery as eels.

Recently my best soldier, Marshal Wu, whom you should have some acquantances with, have tried to ambush some on their way to raid some villages in Wei. Unfortunately we were put off by some of their diversions. I left down those villagers, and are still assessing the exact extent of damage done to thier homes. I hope they will not suffer too much."

Liangyu nods, and shrugs,

"I suppose, once you have finished the union of Wei, one could deploy an army directly to attack them, huh? But that's looking further down ahead. Still, I wouldn't want to tell you how to do your business when I can barely tell myself what to do for mine."

Chuckling a little, she continued, stifling her awkward laugh at the joke

"Err...I do hope it wasn't so severe, sir."

Situ and RR

"Could not say that it was not so severe as what Wei villagers have to suffer is insurmountable, but we will manage to get over it somehow."

Wu Weilong walked inside the room with a faint smile before bowing to his lord and his visitor. The southern swordsman was adorn in a ceremonial robe. He spoke to the Duchess of Yin with a mild tone.

"Greeting Xia Gongzhu. It is my honor to meet you here. You are getting more and more beautiful every time I see you. I assume that also applies to your martial strength as well."

He then turned to Liu Jin.

"Lord Liu, I apologize if I seem to interrupt your meeting, but I just cannot wait to greet princess Xia once I have heard of her visit here. I hope you do not mind."

Assuming Liu Jin's pardon, Weilong waited for a while and turned back to the princess.

"So....how is everything, your highness? I assume you have come here to settle some diplomatic position between our states, haven't you?"
