"Well, I envision you either taking Ji under your reigns to manage it to the best of your abilities or perhaps helping and leading some development projects within Yan. We plan on building a quarry and some other structures but we lack the proper personel despite having the funds. Of course, you would receive the proper rank to ensure you have the authority to do so, perhaps a District Manager or Magistrate."

The Marquis enthusiasm might make it appear that he was getting ahead of himself, but he was like that.

"But last i saw the people here in Yan dont seem to be all wealthy to simply be throwing money at quarries? How would that help expand the holdings you have?" She said as her face went clueless.

"Things have changed in the past few months in Yan, our economy is booming. In the past, while we built some other structures, we had substantial delays because of lack of materials. There are many other options once we can secure having the necessary materials."

Lak nodded and summoned someone to bring some documents for review. He used to know this kind of thing off hand before, but now their force was so large he needed references to be sure.

"It depends on what you accept as a responsability. If you believe you can run Ji for me, collect taxes, hear petitions, organize the garrison, then I would appoint you District Manager. If you would rather work on development projects and such, then you would start of as a Chief Magistrate. The salary is the same, 50 gold per month. As you prove yourself, you will rise through the ranks as many have done already with us."

"You supply me the offer, if i work for you, you should be selecting what i do!" She said giggling a little as she lowered her head to hide it.

Lak raised his eyes in thought.

"I simply want to make sure you appreciate your time here, if you do not care either way, I suppose I would start you off on helping us build Yan. We'd use your engineering skills to coordinate al our projects. What say you my Lady, are you convinced? Feel free to speak your mind if you have questions or doubts"

"No, no, its a good offer!" She said as she stood up. "Excuse me for a moment?" She asked as she turned around and thought for a moment, "Do i take it, or do i go back home?" She asked herself. She then turned back, "I gladly accept" She said as she bowed, "For at least a month or two, ill see if i like it her. You know, a preliminary lets say?"

The Marquis seemed ecstatic.

"Of course, you are not obliged to stay here. If you like the area and your responsabilities, as I'm sure you will, we will be glad to have you amongst us. Rui, can you show her to her quarters? If you need anything, do not hesitate to come see me or the others within our forces."
