It had been but a few days since the warmaster, Dios Xang had recieved the letter from this Liu Kang, officer to the Marquis of Yan, Fei Lak. The letter intrigued Dios, so he hastily rode to the city of Shanggu in the province of Yan. He didn't know his name was so well known, and hearing Liu Kang speak of the people calling out a capable general of him filled his heart with pride. He had spent along time studying and versing in the arts of war, even making a name for himself as a master blacksmith in his home province of Chu.

Approaching the city limits of Shanggu, Dios gazed across the land, it seemed harmless enough. Entering the city he immediately unmounted from his horse, leading it through the crowds of people. He stopped to ask an elderly man as to the whereabouts of the Administrative Complex. The old man told him the direction and Dios Xang simply nodded, thanking the man with a few taels and making his way to the Complex. Standing before the entrance of the large building, holding out the scroll in which Liu Kang had sent to him to the guards. "I am Dios Xang, and I am requested upon by your lordship, Marquis Fei Lak."

Nodding in reply, Dios quickly stripped himself of his precious Jiang, handing it over to the sergeant, holding out his arms with a stern, almost emotionless face. "Search to your wills content." He simply replied, allowing the guard before him to search him.

Dios Xang was led through the halls and before some double doors. The two men opened them into a great chamber with a man dressed in ceremonial robes and besides him a giant of a man that nodded to the two guards that had escorted Xang in.

"Dios Xang to see Marquis Fei." said one of them as he bowed to the Marquis.

Lak raised his gaze from scanning several reports, handing one over to the giant man in the golden armor beside him. It would seem they would discuss it later.

"You honor me with your visit Master Dios. Your exceptional skill in battle and at crafting has quickly reached my ear. I have not eaten all day, would you care for some honey buns and perhaps some tea?"

Not waiting for an answer and receiving a frown from Zhao Khan, his giant Colonel, the Marquis snapped a close by servant to attention. Soon, some honey filled buns and some tea decorated a side table where Lak waited for his guest to sit with him. It might seem very informal to the visitor, but Lak did not show any indication of holding his rank in high regard anyway.

Following the attendant through the halls into the great chamber which he thought to be where the Marquis was residing, Dios Xang simply kept his eyes steadfast. As the attendant stopped before a man with extravagent robes and a man clade in shiny, golden armour, he heard his name presented before the two. Dios bowed in turn as the man in the robes spoke of his skills quickly looking back to him with a small smirk.

"I am the one who feels honoured noble Marquis. On the matter of food, I would graciously accept your offer, for I too have not eaten all day and am quite famished." He replied, giving off a soft chuckle as he moved to sit with the Marquis at the side table. Giving off an eleborate sigh in contentment as his nose was filled with the sweet aromas of honey buns and rich tea, Dios took a small sip from his cup, nodding with approval.

Scanning over the surrounding for a moment before looking back at the Marquis, Dios spoke plainly, making light table conversation. "Lord Fei Lak, I've heard the recent victory of your Provincial Campaign against the vile King of Qi, Tian Dan. Most impressive to say the least."

Dios Xang was an educated man, as well as a master of war, and news spread quickly of the overthrowing of the King of Qi. Taking a bite from one of the delicious honey buns and swallowing it, he continued on, taking formally as they ate.

"With these new lands you require more soliders, experts of war such as myself one could say, to bolster your ranks and help you in your conquest. That is why you have called me here, am I correct?"

Lak nodded while he chewed on a bun, doing his best to avoid the honey dripping onto his fingers.

"Indeed. It is my deepest regret I was unable to best Prefect Cai in combat. Though in essence the force we sent was there to stop him from reinforcing the King, I had hopes we could secure victory there. Still, the Prefect proved a very resourceful adversary and his Commander in chief a most noble of opponents."

Taking another bite and wiping his mouth, the Marquis' breached several etiquette laws but continued as if unaware.

"I have forces extended over three provinces now, I need capable men more than ever. I know honey buns and some expensive tea will not convince you to join me, so I will be blunt. What will it take to convince you?"

Lak shoved another bun in his mouth, gesturing to Khan for him to join them but the big man politely declined.

Khan stirred as the loss in Donga was mentioned once again. While overall a Coalition victory, his failure to capture that city was still fresh in his mind.

A small party of men arrive at the site of Fei Lak's commandery in Yan. They number 4, total, and bear the crest and insignia of officials of the commandery under Zhao Yue. Their leader seeks out a guard and requests directions and admittance.
