Li Peng gave a hearty laugh; it was nice to have a peaceful conversation for once. "Well, if you're looking for something good to eat, there is a certain place in the city I think you'd enjoy." The servant handed him a slip of parchment and he scrawled out directions to the locale, before handing Dai Mu the slip. "Tell them you are my honored guest, and they should give you whatever you like. And when you get back to the capital, give the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister my regards. Until then, I wish you good fortune, Commander Dai."

And with that, he turned and wandered down one of the nearby corridors, the servant following quickly behind.

Dai took the note, but did not deposit it into his clothes. He gave a thankful nod and then departed the building. He then proceeded to fetch his cadre of guards and follow the directions to the point, ideally ending in a good meal before a journey back.

"Good." The Mercenary commander said gruffly. He pulled at the long rat-like tail of braided hair which hung from his chin. "It was my intention for the world to think me dead. Necessary for my retreat from Yong."

The heavily armored warrior stalked forward, his hideously shaped helmet beneath his right arm. "I have disbanded my forces. Much of their number were slain by our enemy in Yong. They can serve me no longer."

He had a disappointed look in his eyes, but there was also the glimmer of something else that did not previously rest there. A new focus.

"It's time I picked a side and if I must fight, I would continue to fight for the Empire and for men who I know I can work with. Like you Lord Li."

"You would serve under me officially?" said Peng. "I am honored by your faith in me, even after the struggles in Sai." He took a long look at Mousha and his officer. "Very well, then. Mousha zhe... or should I call you Beigude Shou now? Help me restore order back to this land, and end the fighting. Your help will aid me greatly."

Tongxing Kongzhi made his way around the city looking for the Prefect of Hann's seat of power, and finally found it. Wandering up to the gates he gave the guards a wave. "Greetings. I was invited here by prefect Li Peng, I think he knows I'm coming. My name is Tongxing Kongzhi," the young man said, tugging at his beard between two fingers. He didn't look like much but his eyes were bright and he wore a small smirk. He had a pair of sandals on which were dirt worn and rugged. He probably didn't know how to ride a horse.

The guards watched the man approach, and one of them stepped forward to reply. "You are expected, Master Tongxing, but we will need to search you before you can meet with the Prefect. Do you consent to that?"

"Sure, sure." he said, walking towards them. "Not that I'd be useful with a weapon anyway."

Tongxing was quickly but expertly searched, and assuming nothing is found on his person, he is led into an interior room where Prefect Li Peng is waiting.

"Ah, you are Tongxing Kongzhi? I am Li Peng, the prefect of Hann province. I take it you were interested in my offer of employment?" he said with a smile.

TXKZ gave a soft and small bow to the prefect before replying. "Indeed I am, and I was indeed interested. You seem to be pretty lonely here, and yet you're surrounded by those with more men of talent than you. If you think I'd be useful, I'd be glad to help." He said, twiddling his toes.

"You speak well," Peng said. "But don't underestimate my own officers. Just because they're not as, ah... lively as my neighbors', that doesn't mean they don't get the job done. And I trust you will be no less effective, Master Tongxing."
