Before entering the hall, Ba shaked off his robe with his hand, and dust are flying everywhere. He put off his battered straw slipper before he stepped into the hall.

As Xiao introduced him the hall Ba followed formal royal protocol by bowed down and put his face down before the Marquis replied them.

He ordered some men to gather some food, wine and tea and went to a side table.

"There is no need for ceremony, I am glad you could visit me here, Xiao tells me of your talents and I am eager to convince you to join our cause."

"It is my pleasure to meet you in person Lord Fei. My cousin speaks much good about you in his letter."

Ba followed Fei Lak to the table, and sat down.

"I'm afraid my cousin speaks to highly of me, I am but a simple travelling scholar. I'm no good with my leg or hand, and my tongue is the only valuable I have." Said Ba softly.

"Ah but sometimes the tongue is the only thing that can change the tide of a battle or convince a rival to surrender. Your cousin's endorsement is enough to convince me, we only need to convince you to join us."

Ba smiled, "Your Noble Lord should not worry about convincing me. I am here because of my cousin's request, which is hard for me to refuse. Otherwise I don't have any desire to be involved in this world's affair. But Your Noble Lord should not worry, I promise I'll serve wholeheartedly."

"However, if it was not a bother to Your Noble Lord. I would like to raise afew question." Ba bowed as he said this.

Lak gave all his attention to their guest.

"Of course Master Luo, you are free to speak your mind."

He seemed sincere in granting the request, the Marquis prided himself on consulting his officers for advice or suggestions.

Ba paused for a while before he continue to his question.

The Marquis thought for a moment.

"A Just man, one that has earned the responsability to lead others and care for his people. I am a man driven, ambitious and honest in my character. A man others should go to in time of need and avoid in time of strife."

Lak shrugged.

"Of course, I have yet to achieve such a reputation, right now if I listen to my envoys and officers, I am perceived as a warmonger and a bloodthirsty tyrant."

Ba smiled "The basis of all propaganda is to divinize yourself and demonize your enemy. Your Noble Lord should not be deterred by whatever your neighbors percieve you, and do not afraid to be whatever Your Noble Lord need to be to confront them."

"My second question, How Your Noble Lord will choose Your Lord's friends and foes?"
