Huang Zhao's Audience Hall - Bei Di

The guard looked at the man, then speak to the other guard who ran inside.

Guard I won't fight with you about your weapons. Follow me I will guide you to my lord.

The guard waited for the reply of the man.

Niou Sui nodded his head, and motioned for his guards to stand at the ready outside.

After that he swiftly follows the guard inside.

The guard guided Niou Sui inside the hall. They arrived into a vast chamber. Inside the chamber, 10 guards were forming 2 lines of 5 on each side of the chamber. A man was sit between a young boy and another older man. The guard spoke to the man.

Guard Lord Huang Zhao, there is a man, Niou Sui, who seek an audience with you. He didn't accept to surrender his weapon.

Huang Zhao looked at the guard and the new comer and replied.

Huang Zhao It is alright! He already sent me a letter to announce himself.

Turning his attention to Niou Sui, Huang Zhao resumed.

Huang Zhao Greetings Chief Niou Sui! I am honored to meet you in person. Take seat before you explain the reason of your visit.

Huang Zhao waited for the reply of Niou Sui .

Upon entering the chamber, Niou Sui immeiatley sized up the organization and readiness of the guards. He had no intentions here, but after more than thirty years of living in turmoil it was a involuntary action.

When Huang Zhao presents himself Sui gives a bow, and then takes a seat.

"I appreciate being allowed to keep my weapons, though it appears that you have little to fear surrounded by loyal guards."

His face remains neutral as he continues

"As I said in the letter, I believe that a rather ambitious lord may soon attempt to expand into Di. I was offered service in their army and even gold should I surrender the village to them. However, I have no such intention and I hope that you have none either."

Huang Zhao listened to Niou Sui always showing a neutral face. Looking at Dia Du and then Dan Weirei, he replied.

Huang Zhao Surrender isn't an option! The last war dogs who came knocking at Bei Di's doors were repelled, because of the valiant effort of my generals. And we don't intend to let any war dogs conquer Bei Di without a fight. I am pleased to learn that you are planning to do the same with them.

Huang Zhao paused.

Huang Zhao Are seeking you employment or do you wish to stay independant?

Huang Zhao listened to Niou Sui always showing a neutral face. Looking at Dia Du and then Dan Weirei, he replied.

Huang Zhao Surrender isn't an option! The last war dogs who came knocking at Bei Di's doors were repelled, because of the valiant effort of my generals. And we don't intend to let any war dogs conquer Bei Di without a fight. I am pleased to learn that you are planning to do the same with them.

Huang Zhao paused.

Huang Zhao Are seeking you employment or do you wish to stay independant?

A smile curled onto Sui's rough face 'He liked this man'

"I am glad to hear you work so fiercely to protect your lands. Much as you wish to hold your lands so do I."

Niou Sui paused here and brushed a bit of dirt from his armor

"I do not intend to bow before another man until all that I have has been taken by them and they have shown their strength. I came here to ask of something like an alliance, I have at my command 1400 soldiers whose numbers grow each month."

"I do not intend to stay put in my village, but for right now it will suffice. I am hoping that we two might be able to abide by eachother's rules and avoid conflict within Di. However should our territories come under attack by others, let us aid eachother in mutual defense."

Huang Zhao listened to Niou Sui's reply and then reply smiling.

Huang Zhao I respect your point of view. Your iron will is your virtue. In due time, it will probably save your army.

Huang Zhao paused.

Huang Zhao In time of need, our 2 armies will joined together to defend what we have acquire against usurper that may try to invade the province of Di.

Huang Zhao waited for a reply.

Huang Zhao listened to Niou Sui's reply and then reply smiling.

Niou Sui bowed his head to Huang Zhao.

"I have the intention of instilling my iron will into the minds of each of my soldiers so they will never run, never falter before an enemy and never give in to taunts or fall prey to petty ploys."

When Huang Zhao agrees to mutual defense once again bows his head. His response is made in a steady voice and his face has returned to the same stone mask he usually wears.

"Excellent, together we stand a greater chance of survival. There is another though who troubles me in the area. This Song Jian who holds a town here, and a city to the northeast. I have tried to contact the man, but he remains reclusive, have you any insight into his policies or character?"

Huang Zhao looked at Niao Sui.

Huang Zhao He had disappear from Di after a failed attempt to capture Bei Di.

[Satyrus]

"I see, his city may then soon come under siege by other forces."

Sui stood from the table and bowed to Huang Zhou

"I thank you for your time and cooperation Lord Huang Zhou, I'm sure we will speak to eachother in the near future. Men have little patience and I don't belive our neighbors will stay away from Di for long."

He waits for any last words from the ruler and then takes his leave, back out into the streets where his guards awaited him and headed back toward his own village to contemplate his course of action.
