Chen Yun's Audience Hall - Gaomi

The guards were used to people who were unusually tall, Including Tian Loc and the taller Chen Yun. This man however, was taller then even their giant second in command. The guard in command decided to send a rather scared looking guard to inform their leaders of Yao Ling's arrival, making sure to write it down in case he was unable to remember it on his own do to fear. The guard then addresses Yao Ling "No, a letter is not required, but giving up your weapons until after the meeting and a search to confirm is required. I that OK with you?"

Yao Ling stands mute. He stares at the sky, then the ground, then a bird that happened to be winging it's way near Yao Ling, then the door to the hall, then, finally, back to the guard;
"'K. I haven't got no weapons. You can search me."
The big man stared around some more, and then asked,
"How will I know where... Tian Long is?" along with the pause to allow Yao Ling's memory to catch up with his racing brain.

He stands for another moment, and then remembers his addition;
"I'm not too good at rememberin' stuff. Are there signs?"

"You will have a guide who will take you to where you need to go, don't worry." Replies the guard, as he searches Yao Ling. After removing anything that could be used as a weapon, if it was even there, the guard leads him down the halls to the Audience Chamber, where Chen Yun was waiting.

Looking the man over, Chen Yun began to speak."Greetings, I am Chen Yun, Tian Loc's second in command. As Loc is not here yet, I can act as his representative. So you came here looking for work? We are currently accepting new people, so you came at a good time."

(OOC: Loc is not on as much as I am, so you'll likely be speaking to me more often then him, at least for now. He does check in a few times a day, but not long enough for RPs, unless you want it to go on for days.)

After following the guard into the hall and trading stares with the man inside, Yao Ling listened to Chen Yun. Several moments later, he managed to open his mouth and say;
"'K. Am I... er, What'm I gonna do? Will I be in the army, or will I bodyguard you, or, I dunno, will I be training other people here?"
Exhausting all possible mode of employment that he could think of, Yao Ling searched for another route of conversation. An idea came to him, slowly but surely.

"What is Tian Loc tryin' to do in China? Is he tryin' to look out for himself, or will he send out armies to everyone else? I wanna know what I'm fightin' for before I do it. 'Cos, otherwise, it's confusin'", said Yao Ling, effortlessly pronouncing a multitude of inverted commas. This (relative) flash of brilliance ended, he could think of nothing else to do expect stare around, at his surroundings and anything else that interested him, like a curtain shifting in the breeze.

"Well, you'll likely be in battle when we have them, and as for when we aren't attacking or defending, we may have you do different things each month, until we find something you excel at. As for what we fight for, well we plan to bring order to the chaos around us. We will also likely go to war with the tyrant and butcher Tian Dan, the self-declared King of Qi."

For once, Yao Ling had an immediate reply.
"Tian Dun? What's he dun?" he said, with his normal expression.
Nothing on his face suggested that he knew he had just made a pun, or even if he knew what a pun was. Unknown witticisms aside, he now knew what he had to do. Raising his arm, he extended his hand, shaping the massive digits into a shape that would...
...Scratch his head, making a curiously hollow sound.
Finishing this, he said to Chen Yun, with a note of finality in his voice,
"'K. I wanna offici-ally join Tian Loc now. I s'pose I'll know what I'm best at when I'm doing it."

Liao Deng arrives at the gates to Gaomi with his two companions. They have been escorted by a dozen of there soldiers. Liao says

This is the place from the letter i hope general Chen Yun has time to see us.

His two companions nod there agreement and they approach one of the gate guards Liao hands the letter to the guard

I have received this letter and i request an audience with the general.

He gives the guard a slit nod and humbly waits to see if his request will be agreed to.

Looking over the letter, the guards see it is indeed the writing of Chen Yun. Turning to the visitors, the lead guard describes the security procedures. "Well, before you enter the hall, we ask that any of you entering to hand over your weapons, and submit to a search to make sure. Afterwards, you will me taken to see General Chen Yun. Is that acceptable to you?"

[Kiyser]

Liao nods his agreement and says

"Yes of course"

The guards take their weapons and search them, removing anything that could be used as a weapon. "Your belongings will be returned to you after the audience is over." Said the guard, who proceeded to take them to the audience chamber. Waiting within was Chen Yun. "Welcome, you must be Liao Deng, Toranaga Mitsuhide, and Akechi Yoshi! Thank you for coming to meet me, I am Chen Yun. As you know, I am interested in acquiring your services, so if you have any questions you would like to ask to help you make your decision, please go ahead and ask."

[Kiyser]

The three bow low showing respect for the man in front of them. Toranaga and Akechi both remain silent and wait for Liao to take the lead.

"We have just arrived from Nippon and all though i am from the middle kingdom i have been gone a while. I am not sure what the climate is here but it does seem to be chaos. So i must ask what are your goals for this land?"

Liao says this with a firm strong voice looking Chen in the eye the whole time. He looks for the truth not sure what it is only knowing that the land he has returned to is far different then then when he left it.

"The death of The First Emperor and subsequent fighting of his sons Ying Fusu and Ying Huhai has caused much chaos in the land, not to mention destroying the old capital in a fire and costing the other princes their lives. In Chu, Chen She revolted and sent Wu Chen to conquer Zhao, with Wu Chen recently betraying Chen She and declaring independence. In neighbouring Qi, Tian Dan and his family have revolted as well, and Tian Dan has declared himself King of Qi. More then a dozen other forces have appeared throughout the land as well, ourselves included. We currently oppose Tian Dan, and are working on consolidating our control of Jiaodong, as well as improving the province and protecting the people from thoise who would take advantage of the chaos. We do not currently have any official allies, nor have we shown favour to any of the current major powers, but we are currently working on gaining allies to secure our borders when the eventual conflict with Tian Dan begins." Informs Chen Yun, giving Liao Deng and his friend a brief update on the realms current status.
