Oh well, as long as we all agree that II was better than III and IV combined. The castle was awesome and huge. The mini-games were fun (Iron Chef!). And the game had some really funny things in it. Flik's "girlfriend" was pretty funny, but the best were the army battles when one unit attacked another.

I've been so disappointed in the lack of cooking contests in games since then.

I think the best parts of the cooking contests were the judges and host. The other parts were okay, but I think they really made it so great. III's restaurant was not even comparable.

I agree completely. II was just so..awesome. Plus it had the Kongming clone in Shu! Can't go wrong with that.

Oh, and I'd just like to add that II was the only one (I haven't played I) that had Kobalds that I didn't mind in it. III only had the one in it, but he was really dumb. During IV at the Kobald Village it was very annoying. II did it okay, though.

Then you need to play I cause it has Gengen and Kuromini. My problem is that a friend of mine borrowed II and lost it so I can't play it anymore. Replacements are like 300.00 a pop. I just can't justify buying II for 300 on ebay. It just isn't worth it.

$300 now!? Last time I checked it was around $225. I never did own the game. It took me over a year to find someone who would let me borrow it, though.

Kymvir told me he'd consider letting me borrow it from him, but I figure if the game is as good as everyone says, I wouldn't want to give it back. So I am going to wait until they release them in a few years as some sort of compiled collection. If they are selling for $200+ on eBay, Konami would be stupid to not do it. Suikoden I and Suikoden II together would probably make them a lot of money.

It probably would make a lot of money for them, but the people with the power to do such things aren't always the smartest. :(
