Ma Su nodded his head, understanding what she said but not necessarily agreeing with it. "Man's spirit can be broken sometimes, but eventually all things come full circle." He looked at the entrance, lit by a few torches. He wasn't exactly sure where they were supposed to go, so he approached one of the guards and asked "We are guests of governor Cheng, where are the guest quarters?"

The guard remembered Ma Su, mainly because of his elaborate helmet, and pointed to go through the gates and up the stairs to a building that was near the main palace. "You will need only one room, yes?"

Ma Su looked back at Fei and chuckled a little. Turning back to the guard, he said "I don't wish to intrude on Lady Fei's privacy. Two would be best I think." The guard snickered a little, but catching a glare from Su, regained proper decorum and led the pair to their quarters. As he left and they were standing in the hallway, Su said "Thank you for the pleasant evening, ma'am."

Is informed by one of the guards that their guests have come back by the guards letting out a sigh he got up and walked over already hearing his lord going through the nightly ritual which would have him holding his head and trying to avoid people tomorrow, still he walked to the gate and met the two

"Fei? Su? you two have not left the city yet?

Fei blushes at the comment about only one room, but just smiles when Su smooths it over politely. There was no need to defend her honor when the man did it for her. So she kept silent and continued on with them. As they stand beside the doors of their separate rooms, Fei graciously bows to the man who has been so polite even when they had a difference of opinion. "The pleasure is all mine. Good night, Honored Ma Su." With that, she turns to open her door and retire to her bedroom.

As they separate Zhao waits to make sure no guards are around as he goes up and knocks on Fei's door

His tone was quiet yet loud with urgency looking around to make sure he is not seen and not loud enough to wake her neighbor

Zhang Kai looked down at the piece of paper in his hand. It was the letter Yue Shang had sent him after his departure from Jiaodong. It had expressed Yue's desire to maintain ties with those in the service of Shi Tong during his training--Kai in particular, as the two men had become rather good friends during the warrior's time there.

Zhang Kai approached the dwelling he assumed was Yue Shang's and knocked on the door.

Zhang Kai: Yue Shang! This is Zhang Kai. I received your letter...

Zhang Kai looked down at the piece of paper in his hand. It was the letter Yue Shang had sent him after his departure from Jiaodong. It had expressed Yue's desire to maintain ties with those in the service of Shi Tong during his training--Kai in particular, as the two men had become rather good friends during the warrior's time there.

Zhang Kai approached the dwelling he assumed was Yue Shang's and knocked on the door.

Instead of an answer from the other side, a throwing knife hit the door right next to the spot where Zhang's fist was beating on it.

"You're looking in the wrong place!" Yue laughed. "Do you like the form of my welcome? You made it after all."

Zhang Kai jumped at the throwing knife landing so close to him but then smiled when he heard Yue Shang's voice and realized where it had come from. Pulling the thing out of the woodwork, he turned to face his friend.

Zhang Kai: Each piece I work on is special. I would recognize it anywhere.

He handed the knife back to Yue Shang.

Zhang Kai: So how fairs your training? Productive, I hope.

Zhang Kai jumped at the throwing knife landing so close to him but then smiled when he heard Yue Shang's voice and realized where it had come from. Pulling the thing out of the woodwork, he turned to face his friend.

Zhang Kai: Each piece I work on is special. I would recognize it anywhere.

He handed the knife back to Yue Shang.

Zhang Kai: So how fairs your training? Productive, I hope.

Yue nodded as he accepted his weapon. "It is. Zhao Ning is very knowlegable. I am learning much from him. When my time is done here, I will be every bit the hero that this land needs."
