Liu Jin's Audience Hall - Shou Yang

A big-sized warrior arrived at Shou Yang's city hall. He smiled as he spoke to the guard.

"Hello, sir. I would like to visit lord Liu Jin. I have a letter from him. You can search me if you want."

Jin was waiting at the city gates, when he saw Weilong approaching with Wei Hong. He had held great hopes that Weilong's personal visit will be fruitful.

Brushing aside the city guards, Jin approached both men

"We shall ignore the usual secruity protocols, I trust General Wu's judgement. Besides, any friends of General Wu would be considered honored guests in my domain.

Please come with me, lets talk within."

Jin led both into the audience hall, and instructed for tea to be served.

"I will come straight to the point, master Wei, what can we do to convince you to march with us in our crusade?"

Wei Hong bowed to the lord of Shou Yang.

"Ahhh, lord Liu Jin, it is my honor to meet you. My closed friend Wu Weilong told me a lot of things about you. Since you could convince the wandering swordsman like Wu Weilong to serve you, I have nothing much to question you. However, I would like to know about your motivation, along with your short-term plan in the near future. Would it be possible for me to know that?"

"Well, I have told this story many times over." Jin smiled a little

"Some time ago, I have seeked a lord to serve and help cure this land of the ills that is plaging it. However, I did not have the fortune to meet one who is genuiniely out to help the commoners. All hid behing a mask of selfish greed. I became very disappointed until I met my band of brothers. They inspired me to strike out on my own, to brand my form of rule to try and secure a future for the middle kingdoms. We have planned for quite a while, stockpiling war supplies for mroe than a year, until 2 mths ago, we decided that our preparations are complete. That was when we launched a fast attack on Shou Yang.

Since then, myself and some of my officers have received a lot of threats, both subtle and some rather outrageous ones too. We obviously need to consolidate our position in Wei, there are a lot of civil rebuilding to be done, to repair the collateral damages inflicted when we took Shou Yang and Pingyang.

I hope these answers your questions.

Wei Hong stayed silent for a while as he pondered Liu Jin's word.

"Lord Liu, would you mind if I will spend some time thinking about this offer? I will let you know as soon as possible about my decision."

Of course, master Wei, I am most happy that you are willing to even consider us in the first place. I hope to get a favourable response from you soon. Please do finish your tea and take some time to tour Shou Yang before you leave. I am sure Weilong will be more than happy to show you around.

The Southern swordsman had been staying silent and listening to the conversation between Wei Hong and Liu Jin. He wanted his friend to make his personal decision by himself and not let any bond between them to interfere Wei Hong's decision.

"My lord, please be sure that Wei Hong will get everything he needs during his stay here."

He then turned to Wei Hong.

"Brother Wei, I respect your decision. Let me escort you back. I hope you will consider my lord as a viable choice."

Wei Hong smiled as he bowed Liu Jin and patted Wu Weilong's shoulders.

"Ahh, thank you bro for your consideration! I would return to here soon should I decide to join your army!"

He then left back for his home.

Wei Hong came back to Shou Yang again. This time, he decided everything through.

"Hello, guard! Hurry up and tell Lord Liu Jin that I have come to serve him!"

He then stood firmly as he felt relieved of making the final decision.
