I listen to Oingo Boingo. And eight million other bands, mostly bands Maggot doesn't listen to, because I have taste. *ducks*

Oooooh an insult. Well there is certianly no need for that so I'll just say this. I have my opinions, you have yours. I present mine and attempt to make a strong arguemnet for it and you do the same. But when insults begin, its over, because thats just not civil :) . So whatever, I have bad taste obviously lol

Am I the only one who saw the sarcasm in the "because I have taste" bit? >.>

Mushroom Head has let me down. What the hell happened to those guys? They used to be kick ass. Now they have play simpler riffs, their lyrics are weak and they lost a guitarist. What the hell happened? Not to mention the asswipe singer that replaced J-man. I am no longer a Mushroom Head fan.

I think all bands like Mushroom head and Slipknot, who wear masks, are pretty much there for the publicity. Any ole' fool could make the same music they do.

The fact that Slipknot have 9 members (one-who bangs a trash can with a bat-is obsolete, so I'll say 8 :P), makes them unique. Probably the main reason so many people know about them.

But, thats just me. Not a huge fan of the heavier side of metal. I like my humble grunge ^_^

(MCR arnt Emo anymore, they've taken the Aryan look now. They're just a load of right wing nut-cases XD)

I have to agree. But, Mushroomhead actually have talent. If you listen to their songs that aren't screaming and wailing. God, I listen to too much music.

Japanese Sentai/Anime music
Heavy Metal
Death Metal
Fugue Metal
Power Metal (DRAGONFORCE!!!!)
80s
90s
00s (all Rock, etc stuff, Reo Speedwagon, Kansas, the rock of the time, alot of bands)
Punk (BAD RELIGION)
Ska (Reel Big Fish FTW
MC Chris, Aesop Rock, Dose One, and a few other rappers. (Though MC C hris is Nerdcore, but whatever. Rappers who don't rap about hos drugs and money, ftw.)
Classical, Baroque, Romantic era music (Vivaldi)

I could give an actual list of the artists I listen to, but that'd bloody take forever. But if it's a non-Country, non-Christian genre, I listen to it. My ipod has everything from the Ambassadors of Funk (Ft. MC Mario), to Green Day, to Dethklok, Dragonforce to REM, Bad Religion and the Reel Big Fish, Lufia 1 and 2 OST, Zelda and Mario Big Band (Tokyo), Tokyo Metropolitan Brass Quintent presenting Dragon Quest/Warrior ... Oy vey ...

No one can correctly make the music Slipknot does dude......like seriously. They are really good man. YOu may not like it, and thats just fine but, by musician standards they are extremely talented. And the masks for your information are symbolic. They tie in with the music and the lyrics themselves. Take The lead singers mask for example. Burnt flesh, stapled and sewn back together, symbolizing death and rebirth so to speak. A loss of innocence and a gaining of understanding of how the world works is a good way to put it. Every one of their masks mean something. The Jumpsuits represent unity, minds and intentions collected as one. Mushroomheads masks on the other hand mean nothing. They are supposed to be unified and all, but theirs no individuality, no hidden message. Just a simple unified group. Kinda lame in comparison. Its not a publicity thing just because people like them. It has meaning. Read the lyrics sometime, you may just find yourself impressed.

On a side note, Dragonforce is the death of music. They are the resurfacing of Hair Metal. God save us.

I thought The Darkness was the resurfacing of Hair Metal? If this Dragonforce you speak of lasts as long as The Darkness, who cares?
