Arriving unannounced, a lady riding a grand steed approaches the walls. "I am here to see the person in charge. Can any of you fine young man direct me to where the person may be?"

The guards, chatting quite happily, turned around, and then one chuckled,

"We would, except we're not fine young men..."

An obviously feminine voice replied. Apparently, despite the move from town, to city to provincial leadership, the guards were still handled by the young Liangyu, who managed to rotate her handmaids in at times, to make sure they stayed sharp and alert, an asset to anybody using deadly weaponry. However, they always still had a male guard captain, and he came out to see what was going on...

"The person in charge? Well, that would be the Lord Xia. Orders are to ask for any weapons you might have, then you may go see the Prefect. he'd rather not have to maintain a guard in his main hall, really. I know that would be an odd thing to ask of any proper lady... But our own little princess, the Lord's daughter goes about armed with bow and sword herself. And these ladies are some of her maids... Anyways, yes, apart from that, I'll have these girls escort you to our master. Unless there's anything else you require. we'd be happy to stable your horse for your visit as well, by the way..."

The guard frowned. Hopefully, she had heard enough of it...Otherwise, he would have to summarize...

"No bother. I heard you well enough the first time, just unsure if you were talking to me." she allowed a search and temporary holding of any weapons of she possessed.

It was done according to procedure, though, she was then asked,

"By the way, madam...What may we call you by, and what's the purpose of your visit? Simply so we may announce you to our Lord?"

The maids bowed, then accompanied the Lady to a hall, where the Lord Xia was discussing a matter with his daughter. She immediately, however, she moved aside, seeing the guest, and then a maid bowed,

"Lord Xia. Lady Meifing is here. She requests that she may speak with you."

Zhenfeng smiled at this man. He certainly seemed to be more than he was offering of himself thus far. He nodded as Qing Dun seemed to finish. "Such talents would be quite useful in my Prefecture," he replied. "I believe I could use you for exactly what you describe. If you are pledging your service, then I accept gladly."

Zhenfeng had just stopped giggling at something his daughter said when the new visitor was announced. He smiled and gave something of a head nod to the visitor. "Welcome to Zhaoge, Lady Meifeng. I am the Prefect Xia. How may I assist you?"

She bowed. "Thank you for meeting me despite the short notice. I have been looking for recent employment and I heard your name mentioned of your ruler-ship and I wanted to meet the man behind the name." She kept her questions short and simple, understanding the Prefect's time is precious.
