Jiang Sei's Audience Hall - Huainan

A hustle of guards can be seen from the other end of the hall. Lima Bei was shouting at one of them to get him his axe.

Lima Bei: Go! Get my axe! I've been waiting for this day.

Excited, Lima rushed towards the party, and urgently clasped his hands to salute the men and women present, except of course for Gu Zhen. Lima frowned at the governor, and with eyes like a hungry wolf, looked at Lady Yi Lian awaiting orders.

Seeing the three's honest desire to join the ranks, Yi Lian could not be happier. She nodded at all of them and said, "Thank you very much for choosing to come here. My family thanks you."

He came along with with his large amount of followers. When he received the letter, he came right away. He wanted to meet this uprising in his home province. His name is Gao Tong. Gao Tong speaks: "I am Gao Tong, guards. I want to talk to the leader of this province."

The man was led into the Audience Hall after a search and disarming of all weapons. Inside, Yi Lian was happy to see Gao Tong. She had invite this man after all. Upong seeing him, she asked, "Sir Gao, thanks for replying to my invitation. I will be straight to the point, I am willing to offer you a place of honor if you choose to stay. I understand that there are many choices out there you can make, but I would like to distinguish myself above them. Stay, and let me convince you that I tell the truth."

Upon seeing Lima Bei coming into the Audience Hall, Yi Lian bidded him to wait a little. Turning back to Gu Zheng, who had been delivered here by his captors, Yi Lian said, "You have taken far too many things from the citizens of Huaiyin. You made their life difficult. And now, I will take your life."

Nodding to Lima Bei, she gives him the order.

[Lin Xin]

A man can be seen riding in with an entourage of about 400 soldiers with spears and bows. They set up camp 5 li from the city and Xin approached with only a personal guard of 10. Stopping in front of the guards at the gate, Xin dismounted and bowed.

"I am Lin Xin, District Manager of Yuelang," he said in a loud, clear voice. "I am here to seek an audience with the lady who owns this city. I carry no weapons and will submit to a search if necessary. My men will wait for me outside if they are not allowed to escort me in."

The gate guards standing watch at the entrance to the administrative complex of Xuyi city watched the approach of the District Manager's entourage with a mix of curiosity and apprehension. The middle-aged captain of the gate stepped forward and bowed his head slightly in respect to the visiting dignitary, as the blue banners of Prefect Yi Lian fluttered overhead. "Welcome to Xuyi, sir Lin Xin. I'm afraid I cannot allow you to bring more than 1 of your attendants inside due to security reasons. But we will of course provide you with a proper escort while you are the guest of Lady Yi Lian."

With that he gave a nod to the well-disciplined Huainan soldiers stationed there who proceeded to conduct a brief search of the visitor for weapons, as they had his previous consent.

Wielding his axe, Lima Bei calmly raised it near his shoulder and locked his jaw, all the while looking at the soon-to-be decapitated man.

Lima Bei: Remember me, sir? Probably not.

He swung his axe in an arc like motion towards the area in between the neck and the shoulder, making a diagonal cut through to his heart. He dislodged his axe and nodded low, speechless.

[Lin Xin]

With a sligh flick of his wrist, all but one of his guards retreat from the walls a distance to wait for Xin's return. The lone guard was a big man with an intimidating stare. Though usually light-hearted and playful, Ro Aoi is a very serious man when required to do his job, which is keep Xin alive. This is in contrast to Xin's friendly look of calm.

Xin and Aoi stood waiting to be led in after the guards have completed their search.

Another month had come and gone, unfortunately for the forces of Yi Lian had suffered a major blow in the public eye. As much as Jinag Sei knew she was not the wanton destructor some had refered to as, the forces she had hired had caused a grievous wound to the fine woman. The pair had been sharing correspondance from time to time, and Jiang Sei was finally able ot make the joureny east to meet with the new governor about his presence in Huainan and their realtionship. Approaching the modified dwelling that had become to the home to the governor, Jiang Sei presented himself to the guards on duty.

Sei: Hello there lads, can you please let the governor know that General Jiang is here to discuss some matters with her?

Lin Xin

Satisfied with protocol, the two were then allowed entrance into the building housing the audience chambers of the Prefect. Lin and his bodyguard were however, forced to take a slight detour as the escort provided diverted them down a small hallway to the left of the final doors. Inside was a rather spacious clerk's office, many stacks of papers sitting upon a few reading desks there. Almost blending into the parchment decorum was the pale face of a female minister seated in a chair, her head partially wrapped in a loose grey scarf which seemed a bit out of place with the rest of her courtly robes that hung on a waif-like frame. A set of eyes the color of burgundy wine turned to regard the visitor, as the guards took up their posts dutifully.

Lady Zhi bowed her head once. "Ah... sir Lin Xin. A pleasure of you to drop by. I'm the District Manager of Yutai, Lady Zhi Cheng." She then looked to the stacks of paper nearby. "I do apologize for the little diversion, but I'm afraid the Prefect is away in Wu at the moment on important affairs of state. Perhaps I can assist you in her place?"

Gao Tong

Off to the side of the Prefect in the traditional spot one would expect an advisor to occupy was a thin minister clad all in white, her hair obscured by a draped hat that made her seem quite mysterious. As he questioned Lady Yi, the woman spoke up. "Sir Gao, the answer to those questions are quite obvious: the good Prefect has invited you here because of your ability to lead men into battle with skill and ferocity. You already have many skilled warriors under your command now, but imagine the glory that one could find leading the legions of all of Huainan upon it's enemies? It is an honor that not many men can attain, but Lady Yi believes you can handle this task." Slowly she nodded to the general. "If you are willing, a place has already been set aside for you here in Xuyi..."

Freefall

The guardsmen on watch that day recognized the eastern chieftain with a nod, as a runner was sent inside to inform the governor of his arrival. "It's good to see you, General Jiang. I'll try not to hold you up too long here since they are probably already expecting you inside."

Going through a quicker search than most -- seeing as he was a friend of the Prefect -- the guardsmen escorted him inside the government building in Xuyi that had become Yi Lian's mansion. However, before they reached the audience chamber proper, the blue-coated men-at-arms led him to a door off to the left of it which housed the administrative staffers. Inside was a rather spacious clerk's office, many stacks of papers sitting upon a few reading desks there. Almost blending into the parchment decorum was the pale face of a female minister seated in a chair, her head partially wrapped in a loose grey scarf which seemed a bit out of place with the rest of her courtly robes that hung on a waif-like frame. A set of eyes the color of burgundy wine turned to regard the visitor, as the guards took up their posts dutifully.

Lady Zhi bowed her head once, then flashed a pleased smile from her ivory cheeks that seemed to have a bit more color in them than before when they first met during the celebration. "So we meet again, sir Jiang." Straightening back up, she continued in a more business-like manner. "I do apologize for the little diversion, but I'm afraid the Prefect is away in Wu at the moment on important affairs of state. I thought it best that I endeavor to assist you in her place."

[Freefall]

Jiang Sei had not yet seen the new mansion that Yi Lian had called home now. It's size was impressive, but far to roomy for his taste. He was after all a simple man, and had little want for wordly goods. He was wearing his common travel garb, simple tunic and pants in teh deep grey and blue his people had come to adopt. He smiled to Lady Zhi as he found himself before and bowed low...

Sei: It seems I find myself in your arena today my lady. It is a shame that Lady Yi is gone...I have heard some disturbing things I wished to discuss with her. Not to mention I wished to formalize some things we had been discussing via letter.

There was obvious concern on his face when he spoke his words...
