The seals and scrolls were produced to give ample evidence of where and from whom they came. Though this old bearded fellow was not friendly, he was efficient and seemed to do things from the book. The stoney faced envoy looked about the chamber, his eyes searching the room.

Upon seeing Xia Xi and affirming that he is the man in charge he gave Xi a hard look and a stiff bow. "You are District Manager Xia Xi?" he said plainly, not continuing until an answer was provided.

He entered with only one of the armed men who came with him on the journey, the rest were needed to protect his carriage from the rabble outside the walls of the building.

"Oh, pardon me," he said, giving another small bow. "Yes, I am Xia Xi. I apologize for the breach in protocol; matters here are fairly messy. There has not been time enough to set-up court again. Too many other pressing matters."

Yong Wei walked aimlessly through the city's streets. Seeing as he is from a very rural part of China he had never set foot into a city such as this. It was to chaotic for his taste. But, he had to see what this letter was about. All he knew was that this warrior princess of some sort wanted his audience so the most he could do would at least show up and see what she wanted.

As he continued to walk he came upon a place that must have been the Audience Hall this princess spoke of. He decided to walk on in and see for himself. So he walked up the stairs and approached the guards on duty.

"My name is Yong Wei. I received this letter from the princess. May i have an audience with her majesty?

Huixi Zhe bowed deeply to the Princess, and took off his coat to reveal... more rags. His sleeves had hidden a leather band around both his arms, full of small knives, and he moved each one out slightly to reduce the effort needed during the fight. His main knife already out, he stretched a little bit, kicking out the kinks, and, with a large smile, took a very unprofessional fighting stance. He blew a kiss to the waiting warriors, and turned back to his small opponent.

The Central Gentleman has arrived !

Seeing his friend arriving at the princess's training ground, Wu Weilong gladly approached Chao Yang and patted his shoulder, assuming Chao had not been so drunk during the night in the tavern that he did not remember Wu Weilong.

"Howdy, brother Chao! Nice to see you here! How is it going? I did not know that you would be attending this event."

He gave a light smile to the Chao Yang.

Chao Yang smiled when spotting his brother warrior and artfully dodged Huixi's blown kiss before he approached any closer. His eyes was focused on the duel that was about to begin, he knew it would be interesting, but he wondered if her choosing to fight a joy killer is wise, all things considered. It wasn't really his opinion that mattered though, besides her guards and maids could probably stop it if things got too dangerous.

"Hello, Wu! Fancy seeing you here." Chao Yang said with a happy smile, "It seems like the Lady Xia sent quite a few letters out, just how many of us is she planning to fight?"

Not wishing to distract the impending duelists, Chao Yang chose to do a silent bow towards the combatants, especially the Lady who had invited him here.

The young girl was both faster and much better trained than the middle-aged man. From the start, Huixi Zhe could only defend against the ferocious, albeit not really that damaging, attacks of Xia Liangyu. The duel dragged on longer than necessary as Xia Liangyu did not deal enough damage against her opponent, while Huixi Zhe could only just barely defend. But when it did end, Huixi Zhe was defeated, overpowered by the young girl.

As he continued to walk he came upon a place that must have been the Audience Hall this princess spoke of. He decided to walk on in and see for himself. So he walked up the stairs and approached the guards on duty.

"My name is Yong Wei. I received this letter from the princess. May i have an audience with her majesty?

The guard inspected the letter, then smiled, appeased. then, he noted,

"I believe the Princess Xia would be resting in her...'study', at this time of day. I'll have a couple of guards take you to her. Bring your weapons. She would probably like to admire them."

Two guards came by and escorted the man to the doorway of what, apparently, was the princess' study. Oh, there were books, yes, and couple of tables and chairs, but they were over shadowed by a veritable arsenal of weapons of all sorts, some so exotic as to seemingly be impractical. But all showed a little wear despite the polish and the sharpening, meaning they had been used. There was a little set of items in the corner, obviously designed for taking care of the weapons.

And with those items, sitting off to one side with a couple of hardworking maids, was the Princess herself, sharpening the blades of an odd, ring-like weapon...

She stood up and wiped the sweat from her brow, before apologizing awkwardly,

"Oh, hello, sir...Seems you caught me at a bad time. But bah, I'd probably be too lazy to put on more courtly clothes then go back to my training gear again..."

She got the letter she had written from one of the guards and smiled...

"Yong Wei, right? Ah...a warrior. Interesting. So, you've come in reply to my letter? That's quite nice of you. So, what did you think about helping us out here, then. Now that we lead a city, we definitely need more men. And I do think I definitely need another warrior to work on my technique with, besides that..."

The city banners of Zhaoge fluttered in the great winds of the central plains, telling the mighty warrior and his army that they have arrived in Yin. Sighing with relief, the big group of men entered the city gates, their weapons of war flashing in the sun. Stopping in the middle of the city square, Liang Feng, the general of this cadre, dismounted from his steed and mounted the steps towards the palace, accompanied only by two of his men.

Facing the guards by the door, his powerful frame towered over them like a cloud of black. Taking out a piece of paper from inside his armor, his iron eyes were fixated upon them, as his lips broke into words.

"I have come to see the princess Xia. Tell her that Liang Feng of Yan has arrived."

"Oh, hello, sir...Seems you caught me at a bad time. But bah, I'd probably be too lazy to put on more courtly clothes then go back to my training gear again..."

She got the letter she had written from one of the guards and smiled...

As Yong Wei walked into the room he noticed many weapons all over the walls of the room, many of which he had never seen before. After listening to what the princess had to say he bowed in respect.

"Yes, mam. I was a little surprised when i got the letter. Reason is although i have trained in the art of war and of strategy i have yet to see life on the battlefield. Yes, i am the best in my town and have successfully kept marauders and pirates from destroying our peaceful little town, but that's all I've done. Nothing that spectacular. So i decided to make something of this opportunity you willingly gave me. I ask to join your lieges struggle in this chaotic time.

The young girl was both faster and much better trained than the middle-aged man. From the start, Huixi Zhe could only defend against the ferocious, albeit not really that damaging, attacks of Xia Liangyu. Liangyu, satisfied with her performance, had a couple of her maids help Lord Huixi off to one side to rest. She nursed a couple of cuts herself, and a few dents that marred the crimson and gold armour's sleek polish, but nothing that couldn't really be solved with a little nursing from one of her maids.

She moved to the side to join her other invitees, finding they had grown in number once more for earlier, outside:

"I have come to see the princess Xia. Tell her that Liang Feng of Yan has arrived."

The guard had said,

"Ah, we've been expecting you. Come, a couple of guards will escort you to her..."

And so he had been brought to the training room, where Liangyu's friendly duels were occuring. A maid had brought out refreshments, juice of all sorts, and wine, if anyone wanted, and Liangyu eagerly grabbed a glass of the juice, before sitting down to have her outfit and person tended by a maid. Giggling as she was tickled a little, she turned to acknowledge the newcomers,

"Ah! Chao Yang and Liang Feng. Here to join the fight as well. That last one with Lord Huixi was quite fun, despite him being such an odd character."

She shifted a little, stinging a bit uncomfortably as her arm nudged her chair. There seemed to be a slight cut on it. She'd barely even noticed it before. Shrugging, she resumed,

"Well, how are your days so far? I just need a bit of a breather, and I'll take on whoever wishes to be next. And Lord Liang, I assume you brought your troops like you promised?"

A maid came up to her, with Zhe, who was now allowed to join them again, after being tended to in case of any injuries. Thankfully there was none. Turning to him, she asked,

"Well, what did you think, Master Huixi?"

At a different point in time...

"Ah, such eagerness! I would love to have you amongst our ranks. Still, I need to show you to my father, but after that, maybe you and I could see how well our abilities match. You seem like you'd make quite the opponent for me...I'd have to give it my all, I think."

Thinking of how fine a duel that would be, Liangyu grinned as she stood up, and in her sweaty tight training clothes went off to find her father. The lady asked as she walked off,

"Well, come with me, Sir Yong."

Once they were in her father's chambers, she bowed, and told her Lord,

"Father, a warrior by the name of Yong Wei has come hither in response to my entreaties. He wishes to aid us in our cause."

She grinned, then stepped aside, so that the two may talk...

Huixi Zhe had been beaten by this little princess, but it didn't really surprise him that much. And besides, he didn't come here for glory. Laying on the ground, a little bloodied, he propped himself up on his right arm, wiped away some blood from his mouth, and smiled widely.

"A little fight in you. I like that."

He chuckled lightly, and spat out a little blood. He slowly rose to his feet again, bowed briefly, and said

"The Princess has proven her worth to the greatest in the land."

He said mockingly, motioning to the other contestants, and allowed himself to be carried off, blowing kisses to the audience...
When he was brought back, he sat down on a bench, a smile still on his face.
