Smaller shows (under 100 people) are always much more fun

Small shows suck, you dont get that feeling like your part of an unstopable force. Being in a huge show is where its at, makes you feel like your a soldier in an army of 1000's! Its kick ass

Are you kidding me?! The smallest shows are ALWAYS the most insane. Imagine everyone in the room in the pit with no breaks except inbetween bands for 5 or 6 hours. Once there was a blizzard and my band still played in 3 or 4 feet of snow and only 70-some people made it and it was so crazy that 5 fights broke out and only 1 other band showed up and we ended up playing everything we knew for about 4 hours. The other band played and they were covering misfits when their bassist fell over drunk, some other kid picked up the bass and started playing the song like nothing happened. Then random people who could play instruments assembled a band and covered Misfits for a few hours, while there was still a pit. We had a snowball fight inside the venue in the pit.

Down with mob rule, up with the individual! Hah.

Small shows are the best. A bunch of people you know or have seen at shows before. You can really act yourself without having to squish yourself against the fat guy in the wifebeater.

And plus, you can hardcore dance much better.

sheesh, it wasn't all covers. I just said MY band played 4 hours of original music. Oh, and I forgot to mention that we changed the door price from $4 to...FREE.

. Sorry, but you'll never convince me that a tiny show is better than a huge one. Besides, small shows usually dont have good bands.

wrong again, the Dead Milkmen came to a benefit show that my uncle went to that only had about 40 people at it and they (obviously) weren't even on the bill. It's so impersonal for there to be a band with 10,000 people standing on a 50-foot high stage...

They can't talk to you or say anything at all.

Bands need to realize that merchandise and tickets and all of that doesn't really matter.

By the way, I love the Subhumans and how they made fun of the nerdy kids at our show. The singer was talking about kids dying their hair and wearing 'cool' leathers jackets wasn't worth killing animals over. They're definately one of my favorite bands. The Adicts were amazing live, too. Their violinist was the man when he came on stage.
