The guards at the gate looked at each other and shook their heads. One of them step forward, in a very courteous tone, he says, "Lady Yi Lian is indeed inside. If you would allow us to search you briefly, we will escort you inside."

Jing Yun was momentary stunned when he heard that 'Yi Lian' was a lady. "I see, forgive me if I mistook her for him." Raising his sword to the guard, "This is the only weapon I have with me and need to trouble you to led me to... Lady Yi Lian."

After the protocol, Jing Yun is escorted inside to the Audience Hall. On hearing that Jing Yun had arrived, Yi Lian came out and met him. Sitting down at her chair, she smiled at Jing Yun and said, "Master Jing, thank you for coming. How can I be of good host? Drink? Food?"

Jing Yun looked at his rather ravishing lady host. Never had he seen a lady with delicate features and someone of importance to boot. Giving a short bow to his host, "Lady Yi, thank you for your hospitality. Tea will be fine."

Jing Yun seated at a empty seat slightly away from Yi Lian. "You had sent for me Lady Yi and how may a humble peasant like me assist you?"

Yi Lian nodded to the servants and they went into the back, presumably preparing tea for the guest. Turning her attention back to Jing Yun, she says, "Yes, I had sent for you. I want to thank you for responding. I hear that you are a man who is adept with a sword?"

Po Hu is an imposing man. He comes to this particular city on foot. He leaves a trail of footprint that is imprinted deep into the ground. He has a duffle over his right shoulder as he arrives at the gate. "I am Po Hu. I wish to speak to Yi Lian, who wrote me a letter."

The guards examined the man up and down before saying, "Marquis Yi is inside. We would need to perform a small search, it is a security protocol."

Jing Yun bowed graciously to Yi Lian when she thanked him for coming. After listening to the following sentence, Jing Yun responded. "I would not claimed to be a man who is profficiency with the sword. But I can hold my stand well with a sword against a few brigands." Jing Yun smiled and awaits the next question.

The guards searched Po Hu and his bag, making sure there aren't any hidden weapons. He is then escorted inside to where Yi Lian is. Once she sees him, she rose and extended her hand. She said, "Welcome to Huainan, Sir Po. Please have a seat. May I offer you something to drink or eat?"

"Oh?" Yi Lian smiled. "Martial arts is something I did not learn. Though my father didn't restrict me from learning the books, he did think that women should not be toying with swords and spears. I was upset at first, but once, when I took that up without him knowing while growing up, I nearly hurt myself." She shook her head.

"Tell me about yourself besides your ability with the sword?"
