Wu Chen's Audience Hall - Handan

A man, completely covered in armor, clanked his way to the guards stationed outside of the audience hall. "I am Ma Xiang of Jibei, humble vassal of the good lady Lu Ying of Jibei and by extension his excellence, Wu Chen of Zhao. If a search is necessary, then be quick about it so that I may proceed to the audience of the king." Kuai Wei, under the guise of a completely new man, presented himself as Ma Xiang to the guards using a large, demonic-looking helmet that covered all but the glowing of his green eyes. Wei had news to bring to Wu Chen, but he'd do so under the cloak of Ma to get a feel for the man he'd live his life as. That was, until the man that wanted Kuai's head himself was killed, at least.

Wu Chen nodded and allowed his image to be drawn. He gestured for the image to be carried to him and he examined it before he nodded and stepped down from his throne. "The best I can allow is in my office where there are still a few guards stationed, but they are very loyal. Please follow me."

He walked through a back door that eventually allow him to pass the wall that divided the audience hall so he was close to Xian. Then he motioned for her to follow him. He lead her into a small room covered with papers and books. "What is it you have to say?"

Wu Chen shook his head, "you are free to leave."

Kuai Wei

The guards heard he was a man of Lu Ying, however they had never heard of him so they would follow the proper procedure. "Please submit your weapons to us so that we may lead you to the King."

Ma handed over his weapons, waiting to be taken to Wu Chen. "I trust I'm not interrupting the king, yes?" politely asks Xiang.

"... I will be honest" She starts, her right hand sitting on her hip "I have been with Lu Ying far longer than anyone else, I love her more than anyone." Xian An turns her head to the side, then continues with a less serious, more pained expression. "... but lately, all she talks and thinks of is you."

Qian-Qian looked up from her picture and quickly hopped over to Xian An, wiping a stray tear off her face, before hopping back to her sketch.

"Normally, I would tear you to shreds... but all I can think about is Yingy's happiness..." She fully turns around, her back to Wu Chen. "Which is why I came... to give to you my blessing."

She takes a step towards the door then stops, remembering QianQian is still a little busy with a sketch, she curses that bad decision and turns back toward Wu Chen.

"Please don't misunderstand, I think only of Yingy, I will do anything to continue her happiness."

Kuai Wei,

The guards escort the man before the king, announced his presence, then left the two in the room. Wu Chen smiled politely to the man and said, "Welcome Kuai Wei, how can I help you?"

Wu Chen was taken aback by the woman. He was both shocked and thrilled. Unless this was some elaborate ploy, he was feeling amazing. He thought about how to answer something like that and said, "I thank you, that means... that means a lot to me. I must let you know, Aichi is the center of my attention right now. I fight to bring peace so that one day we may be together. If she truly feels as she says and as you say, then a brighter day is sure to come for all of us. I hope you all find success in all your endeavors, and please tell her that I miss her and long to see her again."

He smiled remembering her face. "She truly is an amazing woman...."

He trailed off in thought after that.

Some days after the letter from the king of Zhao has been replied to, a young warrior clad in simple armor rode to the gates of the capital of Handan, seat of Wu Chen's power. With his humble halberd slung to his back, he had his meager horse totter towards the palace of the king.

Dismounting from his steed and proceeding to front the guards, he bowed slightly and took out the letter from the king. With his warm voice he addressed them, "I am Xian Long Rui of Zu, here on the summons of his majesty, the king of Zhao. I request that I be allowed to speak to him, if not one of his retainers. Aside from my humble weapon.." he then took up his halberd and handed it over to a guard, "..I am unarmed."

He then stood tall and straight as an arrow, waiting for a reply.

Xiang - or rather Kuai, as the king of Zhao knew - bowed and stepped up to address the man. "You see, lord Wu, I come merely to inform you of my new status - I am a vassal of the lady Lu Ying, but you must know she had reluctantly spared my life after I was blindly invited to her audience hall so that another vassal of hers could have his revenge by killing me. Well, Lu Ying would do the killing, but it was the noble Ye Zhi's bidding that had threatened my life. So, I come to tell you that I must undergo a change in name, personality, and I must even go along with my 'death' in order for Lu Ying to reap the benefits of having me as her ally and keeping Ye Zhi in the palm of her hand. Had I not have spoke with you before, I believe I would be dead, king Wu. It's a wonder how I'm alive, even though I know I've risked my life many times during the quest for power we've all started following the death of the former Emperor. I believe your own goes well, no?"

The guards took the weapon and bowed low to the man, they had been expecting him, now that he was here they would have to honor him yet still follow proper procedure. If a man such as this was allowed to sneak in even a small knife, there could be some major problems inside. The captain looked to him, "I thank you for responding to our lord's summons, however your person will need to be thoroughly searched... formalities you know?"

The King was pleased that the man had made peace with Lu Ying, every able bodied man she had under her command was another added bonus to her growing power. He nodded "Very well Ma Xiang, I pray you find peace and happiness in your new life. It is very pleasing to me that you have found peace with lady Lu Ying."

Qian-Qian finished the image after a little while, its radiance on par with the image of Lu Ying. She scampered up to Wu Chen and held it out to him. "...here"

"My apologies, King of Zhao, I can not stay longer." Xian An bows, turning back toward the door with Qian-Qian, she adds one last thing.

"If you make her cry, I will return."

Provided they are unhindered, Xian An and QQ take their leave.
