I can't really think of anything which would prevent it - except of course the time to code it.
I didn't mean PHP in general, I meant more HoC's KT system, where each officer inputs their own KT action via PHP.

I'm certainly considering it... though I can only hope my next character will be as fun as Tang was :)

I don't know what all the fuss is about the KTs in SimRTK... when I inherited the disaster that was Pao Gong's kingdom due to a year's worth of KTs he did, when he wasn't even active for anything. I found that the KTs went from a real long list of many things to worry about... to becoming easier and seemingly shorter as time went on. :) Then again, I was losing cities and such at a very rapid pace ;) So, my KTs really did get easier as the game kept going.

Its not their KT system in particular, its fairly easy to do, just with so many officers and an activity system that means checking everyone -every- KT and just a lot of cities and forts in the KTs I was doing its a pain.

I won't be ruling again!

I've had enough of dealing with these dastardly NPCs!

Luckily, I only have 2 more to go!

Well it isn't necessary to require each officer to input actions in order to code a php turn tool - you could have the ruler do the actions but still have a tool.

KTs encourage inactivity in the average player in my opinion and I prefer games that involve the average player more. However Ann makes a good point, PHP makes KTs simpler as well as opening up possibilities for player input.

The KT system in HoC kinda turned out to be counter intuitive. A lot of people thought that it was a pain to have to get on and do their turns twice a week, and it sucked to miss out on a turn. The result was pretty low activity overall. I like the KT system here, because basically anyone can do it, and it allows for any type of character to be useful, not just politicians.

To get back on topic though, I won't rule next game... hopefully.

uhhh..... huh? "I like the KT system here, because basically anyone can do it, and it allows for any type of character to be useful, not just politicians." How many people were involved with actually doing KT's in each kingdom?

Not to put it down, but KTs are a necesity due to lack of coding skills and stuff. I would choose anything that lets a normal officer do things over a KT done by one person. I didnt think HoC excecuted the thing well but the basic idea is solid. Heck, part of the reason I end up ruling so often is because, to be frank, being an officer sucks unless you know your ruler well in an OOC manner.

It is my feeling (no offense) that a lot of PCs can't be trusted to do their turns in the PHP system.
