"Of course." Fo Xie said with a wolfish grin. "But as I said, expect me to rise the ranks quickly. I will not settle to be a mere civil clerk throughout my days, my aims are as large as your Lord's, and you will soon see I can handle the workings of our inner government like no other." He forced himself to bow.

"Excellent, then if you will follow Tie Niu, he will escort you to your living quarters until adequate accommodation has been prepared for you. The King will no doubt summon for you when he returns to the city... until then, please enjoy the comforts of Shou Yang."

In the midsummer days there arrived in the domains of Wei a lone rider, an elder man upon a finely bred horse. The bridle bore the markings of no kingdom, save the insignia associated with the Twilight bazaar in a rich purple hue. After what had been a long journey the man brought the steed to a careful stop before the men of Liu Jin on guard and bowed his head.

"Good day. I am Jun Zhao, chief escort of the Twilight Bazaar caravan, and I have been sent here by the Lady Yu Yinzi to receive the details of Lord Liu Jin's first request of our crafting guild, as well as arrange the terms of payment for said goods."

Tie Niu greeted Twilight's rep at the gate.

"I am here on orders from the King, and will handle the transaction. I think we can go to the treasury clerk to settle outstanding payments, please come with me ......"

Asumming both of them went along, Zhao was led to an airy room, with a couple of guards stationed outside. It was the place where credit bills for Wei were issued. The treasury clerk met them, speaking to Tie Niu.....

"This is the lady subcontractor that King Liu told me about?"

Tie Niu: "No sire, he is a representative from the group."

The treasury clerk then turned to Zhao "Mmmmm, it is a big sum of money that I am reimbursing, I will like to see some form of identity to prove that you are who you claim to be. Also, I will need a receipt of sorts to document the transaction, else my head may rolll over irregularities in the accounts!"

The elder caravan guard dismounted and followed Tie Nu and bowed to the treasury bursar. "I apologize that Yu Yinzi could not make it herself, as she is busy moving our base of operations securely to Qi and Jibei for the coming autumn, but has promised to deliver the results personally to King Liu to make up for this inconvenience. As the senior guard, however, she has sent me here with some men to secure the payment of this large transaction in her place. If you need proof of identity," spoke he, as he reached into side of his leather armor to produce a tied up scroll. "I happen to have here several copies of correspondence between the King and Lady Yu on said items that he wished to acquire -- namely a horse as swift as wind & a fitting spear to pierce those to stand in its way, plus a book of a statesman's guidance."

As he offered the material proof of the order, he pulled out an abacus quickly and tabulated. "The spear and book shall be completed in a month's time, and will come to 440 & 360 gold each respectfully with all fees accounted for. The mount will take another turn of the moon to ensure the highest quality from our stablemen, and will require 1220 gold to cover all fees and breeder commission. Assuming the order I was told of is still correct, the total cost to your treasury is... 2020 gold."

Thankfully, one of Jun Zhao's young followers had already began scribing the dictation details into a proper receipt for the kingdom's representative to have for bookkeeping reasons and sooth his nervousness. The business they were dealing with was after all very respectable to its client's needs, even as its owner traveled northwards a great distance away.

After verifying the identity of the visitor, the treasury clerk prepared 2 treasury notes of 1000 taels and 20 taels of gold. Handing over the bank notes, the clerk also handed Zhao a receipt/acknowledgement book.

"Please sign here acknowledging receipt of the money. It is for errrr accounting purposes...... These are treasury notes which you can redeem for actual gold in any bank within Shou Yang and Shangdang."

Tie Niu then summoned a captain, instructing him, "This gentlemen is here on invitation of the King. He will be carrying some precious cargo out of Wei. Take a squad of calvary and escort his caravan until he leaves Wei safely."

Then turning to Zhao, "These men will ensure your group are not disturbed unnecessarily while you are in Wei. I thnak you on behalf of Wei King."

OOC: 2020 gold handed over.
