Taishi Ci wrote:"You would serve under me officially?" said Peng. "I am honored by your faith in me, even after the struggles in Sai." He took a long look at Mousha and his officer. "Very well, then. Mousha zhe... or should I call you Beigude Shou now? Help me restore order back to this land, and end the fighting. Your help will aid me greatly."

"Bèigùde Shòu is a name I must re-earn, perhaps in time I will go by it again to the general public, but for now I will continue to be known as Móushā zhě." He said with a low grumble in his throat.

"You fight at least for order and stability. I can see no sense in the rebellions of Meng Tian or Chen Sheng. It seems few fight for anything save their own pride and ambitions these days." He gestured to his weasel-like companion who hovered near by. "We two will both serve under you. Treat us well and we will fight with distinction."

Liu Bang then asked Han Xin, who had served under Xiang Yu but was driven out, "what is Xiang Yu's weakness? Is there a way to defeat him?" Han Xin calmly replied, "No, Xiang Yu himself is invincible, he is destined to be king."

Following her eight-month hibernation, Hsu Hong-hsiu awoke to an urgent need for food. But how does one obtain food without money? She had none.

"Hello, sirs," she said, making her way to the gate guards of the Yueyang administration. "I'd like to speak with the Prefect. Need a job, you see. Is he around?"

(OOC: It should be Yangdi, not Yueyang. Blame the staff.)

The guards nodded at the girl. "Yes, Prefect Li is within. We'll take you to him."

After searching her, she was led in to a room where Li Peng was looking over a map of the Qin provinces. He looked up at her arrival. "Ah, can I help you, miss?"

"Yessir," she said, bowing quickly. "I'm interested in employment. I understand there is one Tongxing Kongzhi in your forces, I was suggested by him to come check you guys out."

"Hmm, if Kongzhi recommended you, I suppose you should find some use," said Peng, turning to one of the guards. "Escort this woman to some living quarters and give her something to eat, I'll find some work for her in due time."

Fresh from the destruction of the Qin forces of Ying Jianglu, Guan Ying rode swiftly eastward. He hoped to seek a measure of revenge for the devastating defeat suffered at the hands of scum that had betrayed the Qin. Such was his hatred of the Brotherhood that he considered for a moment to offer his services to the usurper, Ying Huhai and his supporters, but quickly dismissed such a thought. He traveled to Hann, to the last surviving vassal of the Qin, Li Peng.

At the main gates of the city of Yangdi, he dismounted and spoke. "I am Guan Ying, Lieutenant General under Prefect Wei Quan, requesting an audience with Li Peng. I bring grave tidings . . ."

At the announcement of such a guest from Han, the guards skipped the usual procedures and quickly ushered the man into a large room where Li Peng was waiting. They announced his name and title before moving back to stand at the doorway to the room. Li Peng gave a small bow.

"Lt. General Guan, I am sorry to hear of the state of affairs in Sai and Han. What news do you bring to me?"

Gravely, the former silk merchant shook his head, fighting back the tears of frustration and anger. In an exhausted voice, he spoke. "We were defeated . . ." he said, biting the bottom of his lip until blood flowed. "Crushed by the superior numbers of our enemy who dared to consort with the forces of barbarians. And now, they occupy the lands of Han . . . The Qin is now destroyed and from what I have heard Meng Tian and Ying Jianglu have both been captured . . ." While Guan Ying had no real material attachment to the Qin, his righteous nature was revolted by the Brotherhood's betrayal and their association with vile barbarians.

((Looks like someone beat me here.))

Word of the battle for Han had spread through the region by the time the two men arrived at the gates of Li Peng's capital. They both were dressed in the robes of civil ministers, but the fine clothing showed signs of wear and the dirt of the road.

The older of the two men took the lead and sought out the guards at gates to announce his arrival.

"Tell Master Li that Wei Quan of Han has come to see him."

"I am sorry to hear that... It seems that the power of the Qin was more delicate than Meng Tian had imagined. And if the sons of the First Emperor are missing, then..." He paused to let the idea sink in. "Well, at least we are holding out here for now. Unfortunately, I seem to no longer have any safe borders. But our attack on Huhai continues."

"It was unfortunate that Commander Meng had to rely on the cultists to gain a foothold. If only things had been different... Anyway, who else has managed to escape? Do you know if any of the army remains?"

The guards nodded and escorted Wei Quan inside to the same room as earlier, where Li Peng was waiting.

(Let me know if you want these meetings to be simultaneous or seperate.)
