If there was no further issues to discuss, the servant of the Twilight's Hammer would depart the capital, taking care to avoid highly trafficked roads on the way back south.
Di Qu arrived in Shanggu in the late afternoon. He was tired from his journey but was determined to meet this Lord that was so anxious to make his acquaintance. He approached the administration building and saw some guards.
Di Qu: I am Di Qu, I was invited here by the Duke of Yan for employment, is it possible to see him now?

The guards bow to the visitor and bid him welcome to Yan.
"Of course, Lord Fei has sent word that you would surely be coming and has requested you be escorted before him immediately, bypassing the regular security protocols."
The guard was surprised the head of the Duke's security had agreed. Qu was brought into a large room with a host of guards lining the entrance and side walls. On a dais sat Fei Lak, Duke of Yan. Next to him was Zhao Khan, a giant of a man, splendid in his gold armor.
Before the guard could introduce their guest, Lak rose to greet and bid him welcome.
"Commander Di, I am so glad you were able to make the trip to Yan. I promise to make it worth your time."
The Duke approached his guest as the guards all followed closely their exchange.
"I'm afraid I can't let you leave today without you accepting a position with us. I would have you join us at any cost. Name your price Commander."

"It is you that honors me simply by making the trip to the north. Please, I am not one to use bribes and such to acquire what I need, but your skill and reputation is so great that I would confer upon you the rank of Prefect to govern one of our cities. Also, I would give you one of Yan's own fine horses and access to one of the best scribes in the land so you may study to better yourself even more if that is possible. All that I ask is that you accept my offer now and help Yan prosper it her goals. I will even throw in 120 gold to show my dedication to acquiring your services."
Though some might think the Duke seemed a bit desperate, he was gambling that a man of such talent would soon be convinced by someone, he was just trying to put the odds on his side.
OOC: Basically if you join us, 120 gold, a +1 Speed Horse, two books of +1 Command and +2 Command to boost your stats with a rank of Prefect

"I know gifts and words cannot ensure I am worthy of your service. You could listen to the people of Yan, but then anyone outside of Yan might contradict them. I humble myself before you for the good of my people. We are in a war with Yin that is just beginning, I need to ensure we have every advantage and capable man on our side. I have a strong host of officers that have aligned their destinies with mine and the people of Yan in hopes that we can influence the land towards peace and prosperity, I can only hope you join us in our fight."
Again, the Duke showed poise despite his words sounding like a plea. He waited with baited breath for his guest to answer.
