People may have panicked if a couple of thousand soldiers wandered up to the audience hall, so only two figures stepped up to the guards, both female. One was rather tall, she wasn't too sure how well known she was, but there wasn't really any other Xian An's in china... the other was a more natural height, following behind the tall large chested woman.

From out of her ample cleavage came a letter, she skimmed down it and looked towards the guards.

"I am Xian An. I received a personal invitation by Bo Shuai." She points down to the other woman. "This is Qian-Qian, my subordinate, she owns no weapons but carries with her some papers for various reasons."

Xian An turns around so her back is to the guards, she looks over her shoulder and points at the two hand-axes attached to the lower back of her outfit. "These are my only weapons, they stay on me until I'm off the street."

The guards immediately snap to attention as the two women approach, shouldering their pikes. As she spoke of the Chief of Officials, the guards eyed the seal on the letter, recognizing it as, indeed, Bo Shuai's. Looking between the two, one of the guards managed to conjure up his voice "W-will b-both of you ladies be speaking with the Chief of Officials?" Regardless of the answer, the guard then spoke after Xian An showed her weapons "There will be no need to disarm. You are... quite fortunate..." The guard paused a moment before he clarified after clearing his throat "I mean! You will speak with the Chief of Officials, for he is currently at the Capital, and since he is of such a rank, there is no need to disarm, much less a search" The guard then mumbled something under his breath and then turned "Please follow"

With that, the guard then escorted Xian An (and Qianqian, if she was coming along as well) to Bo Shuai's office in Xianyang. Being that Bo Shuai had been stationed in Yueyang for the past few months, the office in Xianyang was quite sparse, with a simple desk, a set of cushions to sit on, and a few bookcases and cabinets with a few scrolls and official documents. Otherwise, the room had a rather spartan appearance, perhaps befitting the man who had served for several years on the Northern Frontier.

Speaking of him, Bo Shuai sat behind his desk, sipping at his wine. He wore his usual clothes, a taupe robe with a black fur lining, a black leather tunic and black slacks underneath that. At the side of the desk, on a stand, was his ceremonial blade, a sword he had since he first joined the Qin Army. Bo Shuai was not the only man there, however. Next to him stood a tall, rather imposing figure, clad in lamellar armor. He wore a bow slung over his shoulder and, ironically similar to Xian An, had twin axes slung in his belt. Unlike the refined, and perhaps even feminine, appearance of Bo Shuai, this man seemed rather rough, with an unkempt beard and fierce eyes.

As the guard showed Xian An (and Qianqian, if applicable) in, he announced
"Commander Bo, I present Miss Xian An, who has come to speak with you as requested" With a proper salute, the guard then reluctantly left, giving a last gaze to the two women.

Bo Shuai took a last sip of his wine before setting the small cup down. With that, he then smiled to Xian An (and Qianqian) and spoke
"Please, have a seat. Considering where I sent the letter to, you must have had quite a journey. Tell me if there is anything I could get you" With that, Bo Shuai then fell silent, waiting to see if Xian An (or Qianqian) would have any requests, sipping at his spiced wine as he waited

They both sat down, Qian-Qian always sat behind and slightly to the left of Xian An.

"Firstly" XA began, getting straight to the point, "In your letter you state that you know a lot about me, how much is actually known about me across the land? I'm curious, didn't realize I was popular..." She kind of trailed off, slightly distracted by the large man... she wondered if she matched his height...

Qian-Qian raised a hand. "... may I have some tea?"

Bo Shuai smirked and answered Xian An's question "A fair amount, enough for word of your achievements to reach here in Sai. I believe there may have been rumors of what you and Prefect Lu have done even in Yong. We are a few months behind in what has been going on in Zhao and Jibei, mostly due to distance, but rumors spread like wildfire, as I am sure you know" Bo Shuai chuckled "Besides, with one with such an appearance, it is little surprise that you are spoken about" Looking to Qianqian, Bo Shuai offered a small bow "Of course" With that, a servant was then dispatched to fetch Qianqian some tea.

Bo Shuai then looked back to Xian An, noticing her looking to Meng Gui. With a chuckle, he then spoke
"Ah, forgive my lack of manners... that there is my Aide-de-Camp, Meng Gui of Bashang" With that, Meng Gui offered a low bow, a grin on his face. Bo Shuai rolled his eyes and then spoke "So, how may I be of service to you, Miss Xian? And your friend as well, unless if the tea is enough" With a polite smile, Bo Shuai awaited their responses

"Actually, we were just roaming the land when your messenger stumbled upon us..." She scratched her head, then carried on. "I left Lu Ying and didn't really think any further ahead, I just had to leave..." She looked off to the side, her face with a look of disgust.

Qian-Qian received and sipped at her tea, staying quiet.

Xian An shook the thought of him from her head and looked back toward Bo Shuai. "What did you mean, a position in the government of Qin? I doubt I would be suitable for any such venture..."

Nodding his head, Bo Shuai spoke "Aye, that is the most recent news I have heard... Of your departure from Prefect Lu's services, that is" Giving Xian An a moment to recompose herself, Bo Shuai smiled "Well, by 'a position in the government', I mean any sort of post, military or civil. Of course, from what I know of you, a military post may be better suited to one of your talents..." Bo Shuai raised a slender eyebrow and added "Unless if you disagree? I only know of your talents as a duelist, to be most honest. Tell me if there are any other noteworthy skills you possess" Bo Shuai smiled and awaited Xian An's response

"I'm not much of anything really, I just followed Yingy, I was content doing such." She trailed off once more.

Qian-Qian spoke up. "Mistress is rather good at treating injuries and illnesses, along with the skills you spoke of."

The tall one looked back to the small woman and stared for a moment. "You've become quite talkative..."

Qian-Qian sipped at her tea.

Looking back toward Bo Shuai, Xian An continued. "I just need somewhere to fit in, where people can see me... I get my energy from the peoples eyes on me, as narcissistic as that sounds, it's how I work."

Nodding his head, Bo Shuai glanced away, wondering if, perhaps, summoning this woman for a post in the government was a wrong decision. On the other hand, she had proven she had talents in dueling, there was no doubting that, but... No, she was merely being humble, that had to be it. Bo Shuai then listened as Xian An concluded. Considering it over, Bo Shuai then smiled "Well, I have a few solutions then. You have proven yourself an able champion, so I may be willing to get you into such a post, if you wished..." He then shrugged "Or, alternatively... you could work on building up networks here in Sai and try to recruit nobles and men and women of worth to our cause. Those are merely choices I can think of at the moment. Tell me if either would intrigue you" With that, Bo Shuai gave Xian An an idle glance over, his eyes lingering a bit before they returned to her own

A letter was brought to the gate guards bearing the seal of the Duke of Yue. The man hands the scroll to one of the guards with the message to take it to Supreme Commander Meng Tian.

The scroll reads:
Supreme Commander Meng,

It is with cautiousness that I bring the news that Prince Fusu may be alive. A representative of Huhai escorted a man he claimed to be Fusu to Yue, saying that Ying Fusu has been appointed Imperial Inspector of the Southlands. I wish to confirm this man's identity. Please send someone who may recognize the Prince immediately so this matter can be cleared up. I ask that whoever you send to not bring an escort of more than 500 men. This scroll will grant you passage through Changsha and Yue.

Signed,
Lin Xin
